I went to an interview at McDonald's once and they were very strict for some reason, they interviewed like five people at the same time and no one was hired, and man I don't think it was that bad of an interview, I told them I had full availability (meaning I could work at any time, so if they wanted to they could give me a shift in the morning and one in the evening). I think that since they are near a high school they have a lot of people trying to get hired so their standards are higher, or maybe McDonald's in Portugal is just built different I don't know
Nah man, McDonald's in Portugal varies from restaurant to restaurant. For example, I work on the Sintra Retail Park's McDonald's and my interview was online. I was working there the following week even though the interview was just them showcasing a presentation PowerPoint on company policies.
Someone told me that she worked at McDonald's once, and it was the hardest job she ever had. She said the pace was so fast, and she had to know and do a lot. She said if you work at a busy McDonald's, it's hectic.
i worked at kfc a bit, and yeh it can be hard. mostly its because of not good training program honestly. fast food managers to my surprise were just kids that are also studying lol, and they really suck at management. they dont deserve that title in my opinion. its a scuffed version of management, not professional at all. obviously not all managers are like this, but its not uncommon.

Experienced this while working at Wendy’s. Fast food places these days are just way too shorthanded, so employees are expected to pick up the pace. I just felt really out of place since everyone there clearly had a rhythm going from having worked there for awhile, new employees seemed to come and go. Honestly it was hell, I respect people who can put up with all that stuff. It was funny cause they make you do all these test and learn about all these different things while being quizzed on what you learn, then just chuck you right behind the grill and expect you to know everything to do right away.
