    Touching a tap in the kitchen or a radiator helps to get rid of charge as well :)

    +Lenovo Service 3:08 which types of synthetics did you have in mind?

      Stuff like Nylon and Polyester. I kind of leave it up to common sense. Pretty much anything you wear that you notice seems more susceptible to "static cling".

    Pls do me favor and say the technical designer to NOT put the stupid "fn" button at the bottom left side (i want the ctrl button there).

    If I touch the power supply does it have to be plugged in

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  7 років тому

      Hi! Thanks for writing in. You can leave it plugged in as long as it's not turned on. Usually, you can touch any metal component as long as it's not turned on to discharge any static energy. Erica_Lenovo

      LenovoSupport But what do I do if the power supply screws are painted?

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  7 років тому

      If you touch painted screws while it's turned on, it will still cause an Electrostatic Discharge. Mac_Lenovo

    Appreciate the video, but that took four minutes and four seconds to basically say, "touch something metal before touching computer parts."

    And... if I use gloves

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  7 років тому +2

      Yes. We don't really cover this in the video, but if you are going to use gloves I would recommend ESD safe ones which can easily be procured from any number of companies.
