I think they do not allow to carry knife with us in plane but you have carried it and they allow it.
Yes I don't know how but You should keep knives in the check-in bags and not in a carry bag.😇

Because the weather of Germany is very different from India so the clothes made in India are made according to the weather of india for eg mumbai clothes might not work in manali and vice versa so the clothes made in india might not work in germany's weather and the clothes in Germany are made according to their weather so it will be sensible to buy from there otherwise the luggage will be overweight and about the food you cannot always eat out and you cannot start cooking immediately there are many important work to do so it is sensible to atleast take 1-2 months of food and and if you choose to cook immediately you would not find good and cheap grocery store within 1 or 2 days it would take atleast 1-2 weeks to find and get used to a new place and he is Gujarati he probably might be vegetarian so it is difficult to find vegetarian place in a foreign country and last point he is Gujarati they take food more than clothes everywhere they go

Itna samaan India se lakar isne maximum 4-5000Rs bacha liye honge . Lekin jo isne gadha mazdoori kari apne luggage ko carry karne me uski cost isne add ni kari. Quality of life ko kabar me gaad kar, khushi manayi ja rahi ke dekho maine paise bacha liye thode se.

It depends on the airlines usually for students almost all airlines give more baggage allowance..so I would recommend you to check all airlines website for that 😇
In gulf airways they weighed by cabin baggage so be aware n told to remove excess and in laptop bag only laptop was allowed

My son went Germany in last week.
Usne same yahi kiya tha cabin bag me jada weight bhara tha but vistara airlines ne uski cabin bag ka bhi weight kiya aur usko weight kam karane bola.
Uske pehle previous week me uske friends gaye unki cabin bag ka weight nahi kiua tha.
But important thing ye ki they allowed him to give extra wt. to us.

Bhai sahab kaun se hand baggage me knife aur sari pointed chize allow karte Hain? Galat chize mat batao. Log le aayenge bhar ke and security Wale fekwa denge usko. Similarly ghee is not allowed more than 200ml in hand baggage
I would recommend you to watch the video again because knives and ghee were in checked in luggage and not in carry bags and in checked in luggage all kinds of food (liquid or solid) and utensils are allowed. So, Thank you for your comment 😇.
