Thanks for another taste of the wonderful interior of Spain. Many people just think of the coastal areas to represent their view of Spain. You are showing us how much more there is to be discovered and enjoyed. Cheers Nathan.
Thanks Nathan for the videos of Spain riding through a wide variety of scenery and showing that there is more to Spain than the Picos de Europa, wonderful and conveniently placed as they are. Looking forward to the next trip!
Guess what movie I've just uploaded to watch in the paddock over the weekend ?... I would love to go the that cemetery, one of my top 10 all time fave films. See you at Baja, think we are in the same group, 450 trail bikes. Regards, Mike
Great video, Im always so impressed with your ability ro just chat on the videos... something I cant do. We had 3 months across spain morocco and portugal earlier this year and spain has such a variety of fab roads. We stayed over in santo domingo do silos rather than burgos after sad hill so we could hear the monks sing evening prayers ... we are wholly irreligious but the singing was really special! Still thinking about the CF moto but cant justify changing my himmie just yet 🤔
Sad hill cemetery near Santo Domingo de Silos is not a reenactment of the scene from TGTB&TU, it is the actual set that was used in the film. Most of the film was shot in Spain; some in Italy, Germany & the US.
The Spanish Army built it, it was done rather quickly. You can buy a marker with your name it, There is a documentary about the movie, its a good watch. Thanks for taking by Nathan!
Our group are in the Picos at the moment making our way home . What amazing roads in Spain and Portugal . No one on them , big sweeping curves , jeez wish I’d discovered it earlier. We are on GSA’s 1290 KTM and Africa twins . The bikes get it done though no goat tracks . Feckin love it out here . Love your vids . Thank you
Hey Nathan i took your advice from a previous vlog of yours and purchased some army Surplice waterproofs and they have proved faultless through some good heavy downpour's so thanks for mentioning that
I saw a video made somewhere in Spain, maybe Catalonia, where people still dress like cowboys all time. Movie filming had left such an impression that the locals adopted the culture.
Hi there, is there any chance of having a final opinion and review on the rieju 500 and usual suspect questions after a couple of thousand miles living with it many thanks 👍
Just left a long comment with lots of extra details about the area....and it has disappeared. Is that because I made a reference to *Ne*fl*x's 'Sad Hill Unearthed' documentary?
@@nathanthepostman No link used so I'm confused. Could it just be the name of the streaming platform? Never mind. So the huge building at the beginning of your video is El Escorial monastery and royal palace commissioned by Phillip II of Spain in our in Elizabethan era. Burial site of Spanish kings and queens.
Thank u, I so love your trip’s & commentary of motorbikes. Long may it continue.

That palace is the Monasterio de El Escorial, built by Philip II of Spain in the 16th century. Stunning ❤
Good to see Dave, thoroughly nice chap.
What a beautiful place. I love it in Spain.
Amazing scenery and great commentary (as per...). Thanks again for sharing, filming etc. You've certainly whet my appetite!

Looks like some amazing roads
I love Spain to ride in, it has everything you want across it's vast country. Great video as always with down to earth views.
I have stayed in Avila. Lovely place. Segovia is worth stopping at, too. Good dash on this bike. Nick

It was restored a few years ago and the crosses etc are all new so it is the location but not the original

Yes, restoration rather than re-enactment is what I should have said.
Beautiful country thanks for sharing
Nice part of the world. Can I ask what do you use to plan a route and generate a GPX? Thanks
Looks a great tour despite the weather...
Great travelog, somewhere I need to go!
Nice short video 👍
