@@chrisb.4715 yeah but because of the new stuff they gain more popularity and fans and the new fans will headbang to old architects and we will hear old architects on the radios, streams, games and e.t.c
Coming back to this after seeing their performances/setlist from RAR 2023 and Hellfest... What has happened? Nihilist is the only song left they played from before Tom's death and from before they gradually become more and more mainstream rock. Not that there is generally something wrong about changing your style of music but completely disregarding the past and all good OG songs that many fans still wanna hear? Not a good idea, this setlist in 2019 was the perfect balance and it's very sad to see them stepping away from that.
You also have to see it from their perspective. They lost their brother. The drummer Dan lost his twin! The strength to go up and play his song, and repeat their worst traumas night after night is incredible. I understand that they dont want to repeat it and re-open old wounds.
@@martin.adolfssson Yes I get that they maybe wanted to stop playing Gone With The Wind and I'd be fine with that but you also don't want to entirely ignore Tom's fantastic work that made the band so special. Don't know if that's really the reason or if they're just trying to establish themselves with this new style only. Would be sad honestly and not the greatest fan service since you'll obviously leave quite a large number of people unhappy especially at such festivals where a lot of people got to know and love them for their earlier work. It's not even that the old songs wouldn't blend in well with the newer stuff.
In Germany and Australia earlier this year they played two hour sets and that was a great balance between old and new. Also worth keeping in mind that they are technically touring two albums at the moment so having to promote two albums does unfortunately mean older songs get removed.

Watched it live on stream. BMTH was playing at almost the same time on a different stage. Such a good time
I only was able to catch them live a little bit at Summer breeze 2017.
@@frostmediaprod344 I kinda miss the All Our Gods / Holy Hell era. The new stuff is not bad, but it all sounds really similar
