Reminds me of the Planet Busters in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. You leveled entire mountains with those and actually changed the weather patterns around the nuked tile.
@@trancevoyagesessions Takes paradox almost a decade of DLCs to make a game complete and full while Alpha Centauri didn't even need an expansion to be one of the greatest strategy games of all time.
I'm absolutely loving this game. There's so much wacky stuff you can get up to like making a single city that spans a continent. When you go for pure construction you can build wonders and projects in a single turn with one massive city while playing on the longest game mode without doing the industrial revolution. I got my city up to 25.9k industry production with all my pops working science and money with my pops working it i got 40.5k production. I didn't even learn how to build furnaces.
"Joseon for their...no idea" Joseon: It really do be like that sometimes Korea DID give us Psy and Samsung which eventually led to Samsung Sam so their inclusion is an absolute win
Funny you mention WW2. Japan and Russia are still technically at war in a ceasefire situation due to no formal peace treaty being agreed upon after the Soviet DoW on Japan in 1945 at the end of WW2.

I very much enjoy Humankind. I do wish that there was something more for choosing to carry one culture on past its Era instead of just an extra fame boost.

How are you in modern ages at under 180 turns?? I must really be missing something in this game. I never seem to even see modern units and techs despite going all in on science.
Nobody is talking about the Modern Age cause game times out before half the players reach it and you spend the whole era trying to frantically max out Fame
I have an idea, why don't they make a civilization tree for each era (mostly focus on culture) for example: Babylon to Ummayads and other Arabic civilization, Shang to other Asian civs, etc.. That way it won't make a ridiculously funny culture for your civ for each era, from Babylon to Ummayads, Joseon and French.
The real problem of nukes in games is that they are treated as this monolithic form without any variation. Only ICBM on my memory splits them and that game focuses on them. So while HoI4 uses nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as basis for its nukes, the game actually treats them as tactical nukes used to destroy divisions, not strategical ones wiping out cities. In modern context its partially true as yields had grown several orders of magnitude and then we started using MIRVs while any modern tank, plane or helicopter can carry a nuke comparable to those of 1945...
Massive thanks to humankind for sponsoring this video. Show some love and check them out bit.ly/FeedBackHumankind
A day in the life of dave , when?
Why do they have to stick interracial p**n propaganda in the loading screen though?
I don’t know why you would ever advance past the neolithic era in this game. You literally start as Monke, no need to return to it

I think one of my favorite things about this game is the narrator and how he comments on your actions. I just really like that in games.

The humans in the neolithic age were exactly the same species as us. That is, it was us all along. Not monkeys.

Show us the pollution after using all those nukes. I also want to see the ending where the world is made uninhabitable.
Basically civilization VI 😂
But this time it's almost playable
Other games : Nukes are too weak!
Rise of Nations: They are so op you can actually end the game if too many of them are thrown
The way the game just suddenly ended in rise of nation was BS
Pollution in the late game is absolutely broken. I build one factory and everyone in the city starts losing their minds.
Sounds like life

Yeah. That game has so many copycats, but none of them are any good. Well, actually that entire genre bores me. Might as well just play Risk.
Nukes are weak? You haven't played Supreme Commander.
HA TRUE!
Exactly what I thought of
The cruise missiles are amazing as well. They will pretty much fuck up attached territories (administration centers and their districts.)
