100 Quickfire 'Chop Tackles'

The 'Chop Tackle' is a tackle technique made popular by the Welsh flanker Dan Lydiate who was a tackling machine and big hitter! The chop tackle involves a player tackling low around the legs in a chopping action which completely kills all of the attacking player's momentum. It can also be used to put in a dominant tackle or big hit as you'll see from the video! Other notable chop tacklers include Jacques Burger and Luke Cowan Dickie.

I would not define all of these as chop tackles. To me a chop tackle is front or side on, below knee height; such that the runner rotates around the point of contact and collides with the ground. Happy to be challenged on this.
