1) The camp depicted in Band of Brothers is Kaufering IV which was actually liberated by the 12th Armored Division on April 27, 1945 with some units of the 101st arriving on April 28 and Easy Company stopping by on April 29 for a couple of hours. For dramatic purposes, Easy Company is shown liberating the camp.
2) Both male and female civilians were made to view the bodies at Kaufering IV (there are several photos of Colonel Edward Seiller standing among the bodies as civilians look on) but only male civilians were made to bury the dead (there is film of this available for viewing at the _Kaufering concentration camp complex_ Wikipedia page).
