I saw him play in high school. I was underwhelmed. He wasn't very athletic or aggressive on the inside. Shoots way too many jump shots. I can say he is fluid and has guard skills. He was far behind Jaylen Brown in high school, whom I also saw play.

Ace is a guard that had a serious growth spurt and clearly is still learning his body and ability while Cooper has been bigger all his life. All that matters not sure if you know that. He definitely plays defense. You must not watch him play. He has flaws of course but he has shown he doesn't fade away from challenges and he gives effort on defense. And his shot selection is not that bad not one scouts is saying that his biggest flaw is he needs to get stronger and improve his ball handling so he can use his size and athleticism more often then depending on his jump shot.
