OMG nothing beats garden food 😍 both sets of my grandparents had gardens when I was growing up and I LOVED the veggies they had.
Omg yes i know just what you mean. My parents were farmers and grew everything we ate.
Im the youngest of twelve children. We had an orchard with apples pears peaches and a strawberry patch, with wild blackberries, blueberries and plums.
Your like me I have to have my onions and garlic. The cornbread looks good, I've been so down with my back and didn't sleep at all last night because of the pain , enjoy your supper, it all looks good, I can't eat when I'm in pain, have a good night, and your cat is so pretty, I love the orange color, enjoy watching you cook.
I love cornbread fritters, maybe not as spicy as yours. I usually fry mine in butter though. Love the idea about freezing the hamburger steak. Had not thought of that. Enjoyed your simple but satisfying meal.
Looks like a supper I would make. I also still use my Butterfly Gold Corelle.
Good evening Linda, just wanted you to know I found you through Danny and Tammy Hodges channel. I’m going to try this dinner. God Bless you and your family 🙏✝️💖
Lol debora lord, linda i also found you on the Hodges channel in a live chat! And i subscribed to your channel and saw a delightful video you did outside earlier today sbowing your garden plants in pots and little budddy!
Llinda, i also live in East Texas, near Naples. Its my understanding you live somewhere in the Dallas vicinity. I have a sisterinlaw in Mesquite and another one in Dallas.
Your cornbread fritter reminds me of hot water cornbread. Wish i had your recipe!
Just equal part Cornmeal and flour, I used 3 rounded tablespoons of each. add enough water or milk just to mix, can add 1 egg, garlic if you want onion, and jalapino peppers, if
The next time I stock up on hamburger I will definitely freeze some like that! I just made meatloaves for the freezer with this batch. I found you because one of your videos came up in my UA-cam feed & I am loving your meals & garden videos. Hearing your voice makes me homesick for Texas even though I’ve been gone for more than 35 years now. Also love your community cat, Little Buddy. What a sweetie! I will share your garden videos with my brother & SIL in Georgetown. They are starting to really get into gardening.
Thanks for watching and sharing, I love growing things and would even if I did not have a channel so I figured, why not?
YOUR SUBSCRIBERS ARE INCREASING! Good job! I watch you when I can...you do things so much the way I do! ❤️🖖
I was referred to your channel. I enjoyed it. What a great way to make the cornbread. I'm going to try that.
I subscribed and will look forward to getting to know more about you. I'm single too. 70 years young.
Your meal looks good. I almost never eat an evening meal. Just a big breakfast and a nice lunch and supper combined. I go to bed pretty early. I love onions too.
Grandma Sue in central Indiana
Soooo good! Yummmm, Linda. I sure do love garlic and onions also! Your hamburger (I call it that too) steak was easy to prepare, from freezer to pan👍
I love rhubarb! My mom used to make strawberry rhubarb pie that was delicious. The strawberries balance out the tartness. Of course I love it on its own, cooked down with sugar. 🙋♀️😁
Thanks so much, I never had a taste for rhubarb, but some people like it everyone does not like the same things.
Girl, I"m gonna come live with you. I love how you cook everything, it's just the way I used to cook. I can't do anything like that anymore because I can't stand up long enough to cook because of my back. You cook, country and simple, just the way I've always done. Linda, you are a lot like me and I can relate to a lot of things you say and do. Also, I totally agree with you about rhubarb. My goodness, I don't know how people can eat that and say it's good. Love your videos hon and keep it up.
your channel popped up inn my feed, because i watch a lot of cooking shows like yours (whippoorwill holler and collard valley cooks) i guess. love you cook small portions, because it's just me and hubby now, and am used to cooking for 8-9 folk at a time, and mostly from the garden, too. one year we canned up 76 qts of tomatoes and they lasted thru til next harvest! Agree with the can opener deal I use an old swing away model hanging in the pantry love your shows and God bless you and Little Buddy.
I love your kitchen area what I can see of your house and your garden! I am very jealous, so happy for you and little buddy❤️❕
Being a 73 year old widow, I appreciate learning how to cook for one person.
Thanks I like real food not chemical filled ready made food in boxes, LOL
Linda im learninvg tooo how to cook for one i dont like leftovers unless its soup or spaghetti
Those corn bread fritters look delicious. I remember my mom making some when I was a kid. Yum
March 22. My husband and I just happened on your channel last week and have been catching up. (Ages 86 & 82) and struggle these days to garden.
So, Linda keep growing and cookin’ !
OH that looks yummy. I love creamed corn too!! I don't eat it much anymore, but now I want some. I grew up eating that. I love hamburger patties too! Sometimes simple is the best!
we grew up with corn cakes like that, so good with apot of potato soup.
Oh my goodness! Watching you cook sure makes me hungry! lol And I have to say, I'm with you when it comes to onions, garlic and rhubarb... love the first two; can't stand the last one!!
I am 87 and still cook my food , I cook just like you do. I love onions in just about everything I eat. Love cornbread. I make a lot of soup in the winter or anytime I want it. Do you grow okra in your garden ?
Always look at those meat prices, ya'll! Today we got boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.99/lb! Last week, we bought a lot of catfish for a steal too.
I like my cornbread with cracklin’s and pesto. Also cheddar, corn, and green chilies.

Linda you look fine as always i keep saying your food good and so easy for all to make and like you say if you make to much it can be freeze for a other day ke keep making videos
I find it difficult to watch a cooking program when the person walks around but doesn’t show her face.
I love rhubarb raw or cooked. Rhubarb crisp is delicious or rhubarb and strawberry pie. I always have grown it.
Thanks for sharing
@@judyjahnz2363 Most definitely, have to have it with strawberries😋
