Ordered Aniki Cosplay 5 Years Ago And Received NOTHING

- On November 8th, 2017, I ordered a Mighty Morphin Red Ranger cosplay suit from Aniki Cosplay. Today is August 4th, 2022, almost 5 years later... and I've received NOTHING. I've been incredibly kind and patient throughout this process, and I've given them many, many opportunities. They stopped responding to me on three different platforms. So now, I bring to you the full conversations I've had with Aniki Cosplay over the last 5 years, filled with broken promises. I include proof of every thing I say. I am not here to accuse anyone of anything, I am simply sharing and stating the facts that I have received nothing. You can be the judge based on the facts that you see.
UPDATE (12/29/22):
After uploading this video, I received zero response from Aniki Cosplay in any capacity for months. Then randomly on December 20th, 2022, I get an email from them saying "Hello Hassan. How are you? We are very sorry for the long wait on the suit. But we are now ready for the shipment of your suit. Please provide us your address and phone number for the shipment data. Thank you very much." They included some pictures of the suit. I was shocked but I immediately responded with my address and they quickly replied back with a tracking number. I then noticed that they didn't include the gold power morpher in the picture they sent, so I asked them about it to confirm and they said "Thank you for confirming. We will check on this matter to the team first. Please kindly wait." Then they sent a follow-up email saying "Hello Hassan. We also want to confirm the buckle, will it be the mighty morphin or the zyu ranger? Thank you". I responded that it's Mighty Morphin and that was it. Two days went by and I emailed them again and no response. The tracking also wasn't updating. Then the next day, I get an email from DHL that I have a package on the way and it has a different tracking number. Long story short, I received the package on December 28th, 2022 and it had everything included. I filmed an unboxing video on my channel as an update: • Aniki Cosplay Armored ... . So after 5 years, I finally did receive the suit. I wanted to make sure I shared that update here for reference.
Aniki Cosplay shouldn't ever be recommended to ANYONE tbh. He scammed a lot of people that aren't famous.
I put the order in for a Mighty Morphin White Ranger back in 2015. What really happened was I just pissed all that money into a void. Heard nothing. Been chasing it up and I've just called it quits. I'll never go in for another suit. Burned once is enough.
I ordered an MMPR blue ranger helmet they had a black Friday sale in 2018, still have not recieved it and inconsistent communication on their end has been extremely frustrating.

I was going to order a MMPR Blue helmet from them but now I'm happy I decided to do the proper research first! Won't be ordering anything from them.

I’ve been wondering if you ever got the suit as I remembered watching a video where you talked about getting and how happy you were to have ordered it. Thank you for the update video. It’s a shame that they appear to be taking in multiple orders without being able to complete back orders. Your a far more patient person than I would be.
Call me crazy but if a company takes money from you (twice), they don’t meet the deadlines they commit to on multiple occasions, they stop responding to you..that to me is a scam. Tell me one thing, why is the “paint issues” not an issue for big name people? Hmmm 🤔 only on a regular everyday customer they have paint production issues? That just sounds so sketchy. I’m sorry this happened to you man, I really hope they see this video and have the decency to respond to you. No more ETA’s. Either send me my suit NOW or give me my money back.
I have been waiting for my Dekamaster/Shadow Ranger costume since July 13, 2019. Fully paid up front. Almost 3.5 years so far. I really hope all of us get our orders one day.
If you haven't figured out you've been scammed by now my guess is you never will 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah I ordered a full set white dino in 2018 and literally just now getting it!! 4 years is unacceptable!!! Stay far far away from aniki .
I ordered a Super Sentai cosplay (from a series that was never turned into Power Rangers) in April 2020. I ordered via Facebook messenger, like you did. They stopped responding in 2020. Switched to email, like you did. They stopped responding there as well (for the most part). I've tried messaging them via Etsy, at which point they up and email me telling me to check back in a month, and when I email them to check back they don't reply.
Strangely enough, I met a cosplayer at Katsucon last year that made it sound like he and his girlfriend got their MMPR White and Pink cosplays from Aniki, got them quickly, and possibly got them for free to promote Aniki. And based on what I saw, the quality was there, but it's not worth the insane wait if not flat out scamming.
I'm so sorry for what happen with your cosplay suit. you and other cosplayer who order cosplay suits from Aniki Cosplay deserves better.
They should get mass sued, this is just bs

Oh my God 5 years later. I was surprised that they showed you a painted Dragon Shield but not a helmet before you put the order of said Shield in? That's very scummy.
I am unfortunately having the same experience with Aniki Cosplay... I am waiting for a helmet almost 3 years. This is super disappointing!

I actualy got the same picture of the unpainted red ranger helmet with the strange name on the tape! Super weird. I am waiting for my bits armored red ranger suit for about 3.5 years and for two years they saying it will be shipped in May and you guessed it still nothing after thousands of messages without responces from them. Thanks for the video you inspired me to make a video with my own experience. Glad you got yours man!
Ugh, I like you ordered a suit about 5 years ago. The excuse they consistently made was that they had a long painting queue. After a few years, I told them I didn't want a painted helmet anymore, but they dodged that. I told them I didn't even want a helmet anymore and again dodged it. I offered to accept an even cheaper suit without a helmet, but again no response. I made a fake email and they responded right away. All they do now is accept orders off Etsy while charging twice the price they used to while ignoring all their old orders. Eff that company.
I stupidly ordered a helmet back in April 2020.. I've made peace that I'll just never get an update and never get my helmet. I've made peace with the financial loss. Thankfully I've found some nice 3D printing versions of the helmet and am just going to have a friend print it and learn how to finish it etc myself.

Hey man. Just posting because the same thing happened to me. I ordered mine in 2017 iirc, maybe 2018 but either way i have not received anything. every time they "updated me" it was the same exact "your helmet is still in the paint queue" message. they're straight up thieves in my book

Unreal. Fits the criteria for a scam. No customer should be paying up front to these scammers. I work in the kitchen cabinet business & we have a 6 month queue, over that 6 months that their order is in production there is zero expectation for them to pay the full amount. 40% up front to cover material cost, 60% upon delivery & install. This is unreal to me.

Their high quality popular status is why I chose them. I had heard stories from others about not getting their orders or waiting years, but I ignored those and thought well it wouldn't happen to me and they're good quality so it'll be worth it. And now here I am 5 years later with nothing to show for it...

I have not received my order from November 2018. And there are dozens of others with similar stories posted on the Aniki Cosplay Facebook page .... before they changed their page and blocked most comments.
$185 for the buckle? They used to run $30-$50. It’s just a thinner cast of the morpher. Why did they charge $185 for the buckle?

I hate this is happening to you, this is exactly why I don't go through them for my helmets or anything cosplay because I have heard to many bad things. I go through taller/azlo and he's great from my point, he does great work and great communication!!!
How long is the wait?
I ordered a full Shinken Pink cosplay on April 2nd 2018 and still haven't received it. So I unfortunately understand how this feels. I just wish that they would of sent me my cosplay.

Sorry you have to go through this Hassan. Anyone would feel frustrated and bitter after waiting that long with nothing in hand.
My take on Aniki Cosplay is that it seems they take on far too much than they can handle in a reasonable amount of time. They vaguely mention being put in a queue despite their claim that there is no queue. If there is no queue, would that mean they would prioritize your order over everyone else? I suppose when it comes to PR actors and such, that is definitely a possibility, but realistically speaking, it's not very likely to happen to just any customer. They *could* give more detailed queue times, like you're #462 in the queue or something. Now, that would mean they have hundreds of orders above yours, but it at least gives you a better idea of where your order is in their production line. However, something as specific as that is probably not something Aniki Cosplay is willing to do because it would show just how many orders they have lined up and they can't keep up with demand. They should really stop taking orders and finish what they have now because if there are always new customers putting in orders, they'll never finish everyone's in a reasonable amount of time. It's hard to believe they were officially recognized By Saban (though I don't know if Hasbro has changed that).
I don't know if anything can be done legally about it, but I would advise anyone who wants a cosplay to look for other outlets because it's clear based on your messages that Aniki Cosplay can't deliver on proper communication or production.
I hope you do get to show off your cosplay one day, though.
Same case, I order two power rangers suit in November 2017… now 5 yrs…
I've had a similar thing happen. Paid in full in 2017 or so (can't remember exact date). Followed up religiously. Then they stopped responding on all platforms. Since there's no repurcusions I can take against them, I just took the loss of $700 and moved on. But who knows, maybe I should make a video like this and finally get my suit.
It all went south when they changed management a few years ago.
I would ask for your money back. I know you said that this company has good feedback (I’ve not heard of them before) but this is YOUR experience and it is a terrible one.
I have never heard of a company taking 5 years to make a replica of a costume. These people sound like absolute crooks and I would be pursuing any and all action to get my money back.

I've heard the stories about Aniki Cosplay and so far, nothing's changed from other people experiences. They have an entire team and they still can't get a consistent workflow? At this point, the only way to get your suit is to make it yourself. I am sorry for your loss.

I live in Japan. I ordered a Power Rangers helmet from Aniki in December 2019 and it still hasn't arrived. I emailed him several times asking when it would be completed, but each time he was vague. and finally stopped responding. I don't know what to do next. should i give up? Like everyone else commenting here, Japanese tokusatsu fans like me are also suffering.

こちらはetsyでメッセージを送るとその日か翌日にはすぐ返事が返ってきていたのですが、先月9月に完成するとメッセージが来て以来アニキに進捗状況の連絡をしても返事が返ってこなくなってしまいました…
Was considering buying from them definitely staying away from them had nothing but bad things this is just the nail in the coffin
They are taking orders on Etsy now with an estimated wait time of 12-15 weeks 😬
I bought an Aniki ranger helmet, but not directly from them but from someone on ebay. Overpaid too, about as much as they charged on etsy but the helmet was never worn and in perfect condition. Honestly not even worth it. Upon closer inspection, It's not even the screen cast, so it's not even an accurate helmet. I'll probably sell it.

Did you receive your suit
I flirted with the idea of ordering a helmet from Aniki just because I thought they looked cool… but I see now that would be a total waste of my time and money.
Supply chains have suffered all over the world because of the pandemic, but the sketchy communication is really what ruins their reputation. I’d feel differently if they sent you detailed, personalized, and contrite updates over the years, but everything in their messages screams “scam”.
I’m sorry you didn’t get your suit and likely never will, and that you lost all of that money. Thank you for sharing your story.
Ordered my mmpr white ranger back in September of 2015 and same thing here! NOTHING!! Haven't replied to my emails for over a year. They said the same bs to me, "suit is done, need to finish the belt and shoes." And that was at least 2 or 3 years ago!
Honestly they are just thieves who don't care about past orders, only ones from etsy so they have a source of money flow and great reviews. Hell, they deleted almost all the comments on their fb and ig accounts and don't allow new comments so the large amount of people who haven't received their orders to comment about it.

They focus more on famous people. Like Jason David frank, other mmpr actors, and any influencer. So I ordered my red mmpr helmet. Just the helmet. It said it was pre made already and ready to ship. They said they ran out of the helmet and they need to make one from scratch. That was in sept of 2020. And it wasn’t a full set.
My partner ordered a Dekamaster helmet for me in June 2017 for my birthday. We still don't have it. Still getting the "paint queue" responses. ONLY The helmet. But I do see people getting Dekamaster helmets from them. How does that work again?
It makes no sense. There are random recent orders that happen, but the people waiting just keep waiting.

@@TheWorldofHAI can confirm the experience. I ordered the helmet July 24th 2017 and was promised a 3 month turnaround. After it came and went I kept emailing them every several months and was given the same "it is in the painting queue, we'll contact you back when we have an update". They would occasionally reply with a picture of a unfinished helmet and even offered a % off coupon for my next order with them (glad I never took them up on that offer!) They never were proactive on a status, I always had to email them first to get a response. This is all while they would have flash sales on their Facebook page of the same helmet they could ship immediately. They stopped responding in December after I asked if they could refund my money because they have been unable to fulfill my order.
It's pretty much a write off for me now as it's past the refund period on PayPal and small claims would be pointless as they are located in Indonesia. All I can do is educate people on my mistake and why others people tend to jeer when they mention they got their helmet or suit off Etsy.
Im in the same boat and I’m about to make my own vid about it. Ordered green ranger set to use for eccc 2019 to meet JDF (may he rest in power) ordered April 2018. It’s been 1727 day and last email was august 18,2020 x.x I’m glad you got yours finally
Company is the biggest scam, 4 years and I still haven’t gotten the single helmet I ordered and they keep playing games and acting stupid about it. They said it was meant to ship over a month ago and have yet to get back to me on where it currently is. This company is absolute garbage and should be shut down for making people pay so much to wait so much longer than the timeframes they layout for people to get their stuff.
I guess if you order an Aniki cosplay ranger suit from Etsy you still gotta wait to 4 to 5 years and here i though that Aniki would get their act together. guess not.

Me personally? No. And I don't really plan to buy another cosplay suit. But you can search on UA-cam and find other folks unboxing cosplay suits from other makers. I've heard many different names, but since I haven't looked into them myself it's hard to recommend any others personally. Also for the Lord Zedd helmet, that's not from a cosplay maker. That's a toy that Hasbro made recently as part of their Lightning Collection. They've released a few Power Rangers helmets, like mostly for Mighty Morphin but also Lord Drakkon, and then they did this one for Lord Zedd which looks great.

How are people not putting this together!! It's a scam ! These guys are taking in hundreds of orders thousands upon thousand of dollars and only sending out just enough to make it seem like there legit( basically only the big people who have a big following on UA-cam/Facebook etc ,, it's pretty ingenious, because people still continue to pay these people , you can search it yourself there are tons of videos exactly like this with the exact same excuse
i ordered from them when they were still actively sending suits out quickly before their popularity was huge. only took 1 month to get it. sadly i outgrew the costume, keep us updated if you get it. im sure its a astronomical delay. :/
5 years is way more than an astronomical delay. Thats straight stealing their money. Imagine making a purchase that promises delivery within a couple months, and HALF A DECADE goes by.
The quality of their suits and helmets are good. I ordered an MMPR Green gear.
Their customer service had many complaints on their page on Facebook in the sense of not replying much to people chasing orders.
They would usually reply about a week later when I messaged them.
Mine from what I remember was 10 months until I got the order delivered.
Make an updated video honestly aniki is all hype there are tons of better helmet makers out there

I got one from ebay, so not directly from aniki. overpaid for it too as I bought into the hype. upon closer inspection, it's not even the screen cast, so not even accurate. I regret it now, but at least I got my helmet. much better to go with one of the makers you listed.

I've heard... and this is just what I've heard from others... that they're better about honoring their Etsy orders because if they don't then Etsy will ban them. I don't know how true that is but they seem to be prioritizing the new Etsy orders over the people like myself that ordered years ago. So best of luck in receiving your helmet.

Well I believe that you shouldn't have done any purchases in the first place because the helmet and the suit wasn't even made yet a you probably lost a lot of money now, I don't purchase a idem when the haven't even made anything yet. So that's my update for you. I love your amiibo videos and can't wait to see more!
That’s not how it works in many cases. Payment is required up front for many things that are custom built.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered back in June '16 & they still haven't finished my orders.
Aniki scrubbed all of the negative comments off his Facebook and his instagrsm you can't comment on because I'm sure he was receiving even more negative comments

Actually yes. Randomly got an email from them a few days ago saying that the suit is complete and they sent me a tracking number. Completely out of the blue with no prior communication. I plan to make an update video and unbox the suit as soon as it arrives.

They didn’t have an Etsy page 5 years ago. I used what they had at the time.
i ordered a lord drakkon helmet back in 2018 and nothing yet also i moved from the location i had placed the order in and tried to get them to confirm my new address and no reply.
