- This is the story of Hannah Gutierrez, the armorer, and her fatal mistake on the set of the Alec Baldwin movie Rust
#rust #alecbaldwin #truecrime #truestory #hannahgutierrez #raywilliamjohnson
No she deserves to be in jail. Her case should not be dismissed. It was her job to check. Yes Baldwin was a producer but in that moment he was in the position of actor, trusting his crew to make sure this didn't happen. Hannah let it happen.
She didn’t even perform basic firearms safety checks… as an armorer!
All she did was not check the gun somebody put the real bullets into the box which had the fakes which was ent her
@@midnight_lunarBut the job of an armorer is to always check them. Firearms should always be treated with respect and as if they were loaded with live rounds.
@@midnight_lunar are you really saying, "all she did was not check the ammunition"? That is LITERALLY what cost a woman her life and severely wounded another man!! A basic safety check would have prevented this! That is called neglig ence which is why it was manslaughter not murder!
@@midnight_lunar It was her job to check the gun
The thing about Hannah is that SHE is responsible, SHE is accountable, and SHE is the armorer.
Armourerererrrerer
kinda sounds like something on endgame, like the "i am inevitible"
And yet people will blame Alec Baldwin
You mean amorererere? 🤣🤣
But SHE is a SHE. Men bad. It's a wash.
“Armourerererrrerer” hits different
That's what I'm saying
LMFAO 😭😭😭
Lol
🗿
😂
She absolutely doesn't deserve to get things dismissed, it's her job, not the producer's nor anyone else, to make sure this exact kind of thing doesn't happen
exactly
Maybe so, but if prosecution withheld evidence, her case Should be reviewed.
@@JohnDoe-qz1ql18-months....Id take it regardless what PR my lawyer want, gives time to reflect
But someone else should also be checking them to clear them not just one person mistakes happen so having two people is less likely of mistakes happening
@@TheMrKittys Correct! It's Every person's job who handles a gun to check! If I hand you a knife, are You free of liability just because I'm overseeing your use??
The real question is why were the real bullets on set and who put them there
peak retardation i believed
Usually there is a scene where they shoot bottles or something . In nearly every western
That's done with special effects not live rounds live rounds are never allowed on a film set
She did so they could shoot bottles during breaks I mean honestly how negligent can you be
yeah my understanding was plinking during downtime. seems simply irresponsible on set. also 90% her failure hanging that gun over but if alec respected them and knew how to properly handle them he would have caught the mistake as well.
That’s actually insane, Rest in peace to that poor lady, man she was tryna film a movie 😭
I was team Baldwin, it wasn't his fault that the armorer didn't check the props, it also wasn't his job to check, that was literally the job of the armorer
Exactly, most actors have never even held a gun and even if they checked it they wouldn't know if there were live rounds in it or blanks anyway which is why there is always an armorer on set.
Yeah I felt bad for Alec bit bias as I am an Alec Baldwin fan but I don't really fault him literally just did what was asked of him
He hired a woman to do a man's job. He deserves jail too.
@@danielvaladez197 Wild statement
Eh if he was just an actor then yes. But he was a producer and had some say in how much they were willing to pay for crew members. They chose not to go with a safe union option... they couldn't get anyone else to do it for the rate of pay, hence why they ended up with a "nepo" hire that really didn't care about what she was doing
The armourer is to blame. And the boss is to blame for hiring an armourer with no experience who parties and does drugs.
There were a lot of bosses/producers. One of them was Alec Baldwin himself.
And almost of Hollywood parties and does drugs lol.
It's Hannah's fault she should be liable the armorer is supposed to check if there is any real ammunition or prop ammunition in the weapon not Alec Baldwin even if he fired weapon on set she the one who caused all of this. He's an actor he did not know that it was real ammunition in the gun no Hannah case should not be dismissed.
Fr, they shouldnt have charged Alec for this. It's not even his job to check if the guns have dummy bullets or not. But they obviously charged him for murder because he still shot her
@@ASIANKID_DAOG12 and the real ammunition was in the ammo box either he or she put it there she's still the armorer she's still supposed to check it
I am in no way in Alec Baldwin fan however I believe that they screwed up even charging him to begin with with this he was totally innocent.
Except Baldwin goes around talking about gun control but he can’t even practice basic gun safety. It is his responsibility as well

3:44 - I've always felt bad for Alec Baldwin thruout this situation bc it's not his fault that there was a real bullet in there. Yes, he shot the gun, but he never had the intention to kill anyone.
Yea lots of people basically wanted him crucified.
I believe Hannah remains guilty as charged. She was correct during her initial police interview, that it's all on her. Even if Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger, he shouldn't be charged, as it's not his responsibility to ensure the set's armorer did her job.
He expects the prop gun to be a prop.
@@robanybody4064you didnt pay attention 😂
@@neilsiebenthal9254instead of being condescending, explain your opinion
@@Tortilla.Reform They were condescending because they couldn't reasonably explain their opinion.
You expect too much from them.
He was the director who made a diversity hire for publicity by hiring the “first lead female armorrrerrrr” so failed as a director and is responsible but in the clear as an actor
As soon as he said “lady working on Hollywood set with guns” I knew who he was talking about
She has no real experience, no formal schooling, shes using drugs, and alcohol daily, and they put her in charge of firearms, and the safety of the people working. Her and whomever hired and supervised her should be charged with negligent homicide, she shouldnt have the case thrown out. Whoever brought live rounds on set should also be charged.
I mean she said and had reference to one of the most reliable “gun men” in her opinion she was trained she just went against her training
She's an ADULT, she knows what's expected, she's culpable, she's deserves prison, she's GUILTY
Her leading off with "I'm the only FEMALE armorer in the game" shows she expected that to do something for her. Isn't it not supposed to matter. Wonder if that's why she got the job.
Maybe you should be working with law enforcement and the courts so you can tell them how to do their jobs.
yeah her hangover literally cost someone their life that day
Her mediocrity cost another woman's life. She's the main responsible.
She was too young and too inexperienced to be on that job. Her father should have been there as her assistant.
Low-budget indie production, and presumably they trusted the reputation of her father. Mistake.
This event will likely trigger regulation into the industry regarding how much training an armourer should have, who film producers are allowed to hire etc. .
The person training should be the assistant not the other way around tf? You create so many liability issues if you do it your way.
While her father may have a very little fault in this, its really her who's really the blame.
She’s an ADULT ffs and she can’t even stay sober for a bit. Lack sense of responsibility.
18 months is peanuts for basically not doing your job and it leading to a death.

I've heard a lot of gun people say that it was Baldwin's fault because he was handling the gun. But I have to say, if I was working on a movie and someone handed me a gun, I have no idea how to safely check it to make sure that it's not loaded with live rounds. Ok but how did live rounds get on a movie set and specifically into that gun to be given to the actor? All this seem sus
Exactly. Hannah is innocent, until its discovered the reason why live ammo is on set.
When Ray said “Armourerrer” i felt that
LOLL
I never saw Baldwin at fault but Hanna can serve her time…. That is a high pressure job for sure, but not one you skip steps on.
Oh yeah, a high pressure job where she gets drunk and takes drugs. She is totally negligent and is highly unqualified for that kind of job. She's done either way even if she leaves prison.

That's like saying I heard Marilyn Manson had some ribs removed...
Min 6:05 judges don’t fight around with withholding evidence….. kamala harris hold mah drink
Hannah's attorneys have also filed an appeal on the jury instructions to force a new trial. Apparently it isn't clear whether the jury was truly unanimous in their verdict because of potentially faulty jury instructions.
Am soo addicted to your crime stories.
I have my bar oral exam tomorrow, but i had to watch this just for my mental
That's a flattering rendition of Hannah, lol
That's what I thought lol.
Honestly seeing alec's reaction to this makes me love him more idk y
I immeadetly just stopped what i was doing as soon as this notification popped up, i think i might be addicted to your videos
His reaction was genuine when finding out the cinematographer didn't make it
It's clear that the armorer fucked it up. She should be serious about her job, and yet she wasn't, causing the poor girl's life. Baldwin didn't knew whether there was live ammo or not, as he would have assumed that the armorer loaded the gun with dummy ammo, and how does the hammer alone made the gun go off? Wasn't there a safety or something on the revolver, and wasn't the revolver supposed to be a prop one?
Armorer definitely fucked it all up! Her case should not be dropped under any circumstances.
Only 18 months!? Thats nuts!
And I quote " a little a Coca-Cola"
Thats what nepotism gets you
Poor Alec, though. I can't even imagine the trauma he was experiencing.
I love how he rubbed his nose for “Coca-Cola” 😂
She's doing a little "zaza and coca cola". Best way to describe it.😂
Hannah deserve to be in prison. Alec Baldwin never should have been charged.
Alex lied. I do not know why. He never should have been charged. He was handed a live pistol while he was trying to act. He is an actor. This is a great example of gun safety. Accidents happen. With guns there are no do overs.
If they were withholding evidence, why was the armorererrrers charges not dismissed? Theres something odd there.
Because it wasn't revealed until Baldwin's trial.
Different trials
The evidence would have in no way helped the armorer... it actually would have made it worse.
Alec shouldn't have even been charged how would he even know or ever think there was live ammunition anywhere on set
I do think the charge was valid, but only because of reasonable doubt.
I'll never understand why a functioning gun was even ever on set. Should have been a prop gun uncappable of firing real bullets. Or is it incapable?
Me just casually waiting for the “until” 😭
who ever brought the real bullets should be the one who gets charged, and Hannah and the assistant director should also be charge... Maybe not the assistant depends if they are supposted to check the guns but idk.

It's not fair that Alex got blamed for it
The gun was in his hand, he was the last line of safety, he failed.
Yes it is, gun safety is everyone's responsibility that handles a gun.
@@BestWorste No. He's an actor. That's like saying a pilot is responsible for the plane's engine working properly. It's not his responsibility in this scenario.
@allie5171 so you realize there are things called preflight checks that pilots are supposed to do...
@@TheReforgedgaming in this specific scenario how in the world could he expect there'd be a real bullet in there ? It's ridiculous. Which is clearly why he didn't get convicted of anything.

Thank you Ray. I have wathed and read about the case being dismissed and only you made sense. My one question is why would there be live armor on the set at all!?
I really appreciate you jumping in and giving the latest update. That’s pretty bad ass. Longtime fan. Always a fan.
1:40 you could say nose candy or booger sugar
She needs to serve her time given. She was fully responsible for checking all firearms and was negligent at doing her job.
I don't think he should have been charged to begin with. Unless he was aware of her unprofessional behavior and did nothing. If we're talking about a civil case, then the production company or whatever could possibly be financially liable.
Hannah should be in prison even if they dismissed her case. She was irresponsible and caused the death of somebody else.

Those who scream "no is above the law", are usually the ones getting away with it.
How do we know the live rounds were not introduced til After the armorer did her job?
She is definitely at fault but the real question is.. HOW THE FUK WERE THERE REAL BULLETS?!?!?!? SOMEONE DID BRING THEM EITHER KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY
While its not Alec's fault he absolutely lies about pulling the trigger...no way in the world the gun went off like that..
Exactly. It was an accident but he lied about pulling the trigger to avoid anything looking bad on him. He keeps sticking to the J Smollett’s “ if you keep saying it enough ,maybe people will believe it” excuse. His wife is a real fraud too

Bang, the revolver goes off? Are you saying the revolver just went off without having the trigger pulled? I don't believe so, Baldwin must have pulled the trigger.
