Watched the video as always this build is a real credit to you and your staff ! My project is on a shoe string budget ! My funds are Considerably less than your resources.
Pete - you and me both, brother. Though I have supreme respect for what Jonathan and ICON does, and I would certainly commission them to build something for me should I ever happen to fall over backwards into a pile of Kruggerands, my future M37 project will be somewhat less extravagant than this beautiful truck.
Only things I don't like are the vertical windshield -- never did care for that -- and the choice of rims. I would have gone with something more stock-appearing or more appropriate. Otherwise, love it! Wish Caterpillar would build something practical and utilitarian like this, or the Unimog or '52 Power Wagon. Their utility is their beauty. I hate the fashion statements the factories are churning out now.
Hi Jonathan! I have loved every one of your Derelicts you have created until this one. I understand this is one of your earlier ones you created but it doesn't meet the build quality and effort we have seen and gotten use to from the other Derelict's. I hope you will consider keeping this one and rework it to match the high quality of your other Derelicts. A new Cummings, Duramax or Power stroke with a newer transmission it would be awesome in this. Keep up the great work my friend and thank you for keeping these old beauties on the road.
Very cool truck! Love that it has a diesel motor. I am convinced you guys could do an AMC Gremlin and somehow make it look cool. My mom had one of those gremlins and every day she would put a quart of oil and $5.00 gas in it. That POS just kept running....
Just bought one 1952 have a 1996 chev 4x4 crew cab duelly 454 4l80 have 14 bolt single wheel rear diff to use should be a good project have to use chevy at $150.00 had to
I'm a veteran and if I had the money to buy it I would im broke and all I could do is trade you for my jeep XJ that I've been slowly restoring lol thank for the awesome video
I've been wanting to do a build something like this but with a DD two-stroke. The problem is finding a cool chassis like this with which to start. Is there some sort of network that I could join so I could search nationwide instead of just local?
Your friends analogy doesn't work. It's not comparable. You can wear out your own jeans easily enough, but to create a derelict on your own from a new car would require time travel.
Your friend is half right. When you buy "distressed" jeans they've been purposefully damaged in the same way a million other pairs were done. These Derelicts come buy the rust, dents and flaky paint honesty over a period of decades as such even is they made another of the same year and model it would still be different. A better clothing comparison would be buying a leather jacket someone found in grandpa's closet that grandpa had kept when he came home from WWII.
Really special, Jonathan; I love the integrity of your vision - even to the dinged jerrycan! But your “patina” makes me itch … here in subtropical Durban, rust is a relentless enemy which destroys unmaintained cars in a few short years.
If it had an oiled canvas canopy over the back, it would make a fantastic volunteer search & rescue troop carrier! Anyone want to buy it and donate it to my team? Great end of year tax deductible donation! Ok, I'll keep dreaming.
My old boss had A 53 with a 453 Detroit in it. It was a beast

We used one of these for a log skidder, chained all fours here in Oregon in the '60's. Wouldn't go 50 on the highway, but a beast in the woods.
Total beast. Love the B Roll. I bet the family had a lot of fun with it.
No way! A few weeks ago I thought that if I had money I'd have you build me an M37. My fantasy come true. Thanks Jonathan.
I'd love to see more like this. That was epic!
He’s been tinkering with his style of videography, and I really like the new approach.
I'd like to see you fully restore one of these with the ICON twist. That would be very cool to see.
Thanks Jonathan. Of all the beauties I watch on this channel, this really strikes my fancy. Merry Christmas. Be well. Wayne
I always smile when I see things this. I remember when you first posted this and it made me smile then. 😂
Very cool truck. I wasn't going to watch this one but I'm glad I did. Great job!!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I am just a wee bit jealous! Great job, and thanks for sharing.
One of your best to restore this classic!
Very sweet!!! Reminds me a bit of a build that Fred Williams did that he called “the dumpster”.
really enjoy your sight and work
Those hood mounted shots are super cool. As is the truck.
Definitely one of the coolest versions of a M37
Awesome truck 👌👍
Awesome m37, we love old school that still run...
That looks like a belting amount of fun !!
Looks awesome! Nice work.
I rebuilt a M37 with my father in the late '70's. That looks nice with the those tires.👍Toronto Can.

One of the best vehicles shown here. I love every part of it, except those wheels.
LOVE THIS Truck.... I would buy it in a Second if i had the cash.. Excellent...
Well presented. Neat item to be sure.
Those tires are killing me. Love those old military style tires you always see on these. Wish it had those.

You and me both 😁. Or have him do me up an '83-86 CUCCV Truck or Blazer
Give you 50k for a kidney
Love almost every inch of it, the wheels are the only exception. I still really want this though

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice, nice, NICE!!!
Everybody wants to Bob those old deuces do you guys do that heavy work in your shop as well
Nice work, wish I had the money.
Is there something you can put on an old truck like that that would allow it to look like it does (super cool) but that would stop it from rusting?
Just bought one 1952 have a 1996 chev 4x4 crew cab duelly 454 4l80 have 14 bolt single wheel rear diff to use should be a good project have to use chevy at $150.00 had to

I have never seen a vehicle done by Icon that didn't make me envious and wish I had an extra $300k laying around.
love it
I love old Dodges :D
Cool build!
Like this Track army 😍
I don't see it listed on your website
Cool build
I wish I could afford that....and the ranch to play with it at.
Amazing

What was selling price?
Awesome. Good job.
Question if someone was to supply you with a truck of that kind would you upgrade it the same way
If wish Tamiya did the M37 as well as the M38 wild willy
No price? And it isn’t on your ICON4x4 website either?
Es un super carro todo terreno
Let's see it climb!!
What's the price to have the exact same done?
a friend said this is the equivalent of buying ripped jeans lol but I think the derelicts are cool.
Ripped jeans, hah! Those would never sell.
Your friends analogy doesn't work. It's not comparable. You can wear out your own jeans easily enough, but to create a derelict on your own from a new car would require time travel.

I WANT THIS
If only I had money to buy it :(
Really special, Jonathan; I love the integrity of your vision - even to the dinged jerrycan! But your “patina” makes me itch … here in subtropical Durban, rust is a relentless enemy which destroys unmaintained cars in a few short years.
im confused is it for sale or did you make it for some one
Sillyzombie666 yes and yes.
BUT, WHEN WILL THEN BE NOW
Nice Truck, but remember, the Mercedes UNIMOG is the Legend.
Awesome ride...needs new rims.....I mean original or different rims.
Cool! What are you asking?
Long gone, sorry
I love the work you do Jonathan, but that thing needs paint. It wouldn't last long up here in Canada.
sold?
i found mine in dawsonville ga. in 2011 i was looking for a jeep so i had to settle for a m37 3/4 ton truck
A Jeep YJ 4 door or LWB could be cool... just a thought.
how much ?
I have an m37 that I want to have done.
Needs a Mexican blanket for that driver seat otherwise lovely
Am I blind? Where's the lizard on the truck?
Hello Jonathan! You can add subtitles in Russian? Especially for fans of musсlegarage :)
Prefer nuts an bolts restoration or all original in great shape..its nice but I'm sentimental ..
I want it. I got 3.50..
If it had an oiled canvas canopy over the back, it would make a fantastic volunteer search & rescue troop carrier! Anyone want to buy it and donate it to my team? Great end of year tax deductible donation! Ok, I'll keep dreaming.
Me likes!
asking price please
Jonathan Ward that's actually a really good price. Good luck with the sale.
You’re welcome for the privilege of having me watch this video.
sweet truck but wrong wheel rims, totally killing the looks...
Wish you did the underside of the body, I get its part of the funk.... but still.
