I followed these steps. I'm 3weeks and just getting my first little sprouts. I did as the fertilizer when i planted the bulds. Opps. They were in my garage the first week with a time grow light. The soil looked dry and crusty, so i moved then to the back yard patio. Added water atoundv the edges. Can't wait to make my wife smile with these. Thanks
Love how u loved on your doggie in the video.. he was like “ I don’t care if you’re filming you’re gonna pet me” 🥰 that made my day as my pup went to heaven in September. Thank u for the info, beautiful flowers. 👏🏻😃
I’m a visual learner so thank you for showing step by step very clearly! Just got my dahlia tubers and ranunculus corns today and will be following your advice! Your flowers are beautiful! 🌺🌺🌺 More importantly, your dog is so cute! 🥰🥰🥰
I have tried many times to grow these in the past years with no success and spent lots of money on buying corms but will try again this year after watching this video...thanks for sharing
Very well explained video , going through the various stages of growing these beautiful flowers. Very helpful for people planting Ranunculus for the first time. Thank you.
I love ranunculus. I tried growing them last spring both indoors and outside (I live in a cooler climate). They grew some lanky foliage and eventually died. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next year.
Let me Introduce myself , Iam Dr.Archana Turimella, Iam a physician right now working for COVID, Iam so interested in plants,trees,flowers... Iam doing my best to grow them though we live in an apartment. I love this Clerodendrum plant, it's my childhood memory, the scent of this flower is still in my head... I finally found one plant after 20years, and now I want to know how to propogate it through cuttings. You deserve to be called Sir as you are doing a fantastic job in educating everyone about plants....
I’m actually looking for these too, I want a flowering vine for my back patio that faces west & some spots get very little sun because of the trees.. these are supposed to tolerate shade well. They’re supposed to be easy to root from cuttings. You will want to clean your clippers first, then take fresh tip-cuttings that are approximately 12-inches long. Tip cuttings are taken from the youngest, freshest new growth & you can either put the cut ends in water (change water every couple days) or dip the end in rooting hormone & plant in a pot with moist soil. I’ve always had more luck rooting things in water, the soil method always grows fungus & turns black 😫 Good luck! And thank you for your work with covid! Stay safe 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This will be my first time in the spring of 2024. Im so nervous watching from other vloggers. Thank you! YOu got a new follower.
In places with longer winters we get them out of the soil altogether to dry out in paper bags. 8 weeks before last frost date we get them out to start indoors.
Such lovely, beautiful flowers! So many petals and attractive colors. The way you shower love on your plants and pets is amazing...stay blessed dost 😇💚
What a great video. The flowers look beautiful, I'll soon be planting some Ranunculus into beds, the information was really helpful, thank you. I wish I had brought more corms. Your dog is so cute, I hope it's feature in more if your videos.
I am from North-West Himalayan range of India, I grew it in month of March, so some snowy cold nights were still there. As sprouting starts mosts in warmer temperatures so i started it indoors in a pot n placed it near an east facing window where it can get adequate light as well. Sprouting started after 10-12 days (probably cause I didn't soak the bulbs in water and after 2 weeks I shifted the plants outdoors in the garden (in the month of April), there it gets the morning sun for like 5 hours. It started flowering in june n still flowering in September. Idk if it can tolerate snow or not, hopefully it can.
@Andy okey it do well in Himachal at least. I remember planting one rose cutting as a child (8-9 y/o) in my garden just for fun, it was August I think (not sure). N to my surprise the cutting was successful. N after all these years it's still flowering.
India is a diverse country, you don't know, anything could be happening at anytime in India, like it might be -30°C in northern ladakh, whereas somewhere in rajasthan, it might be 50°C...
@@urbangardeningofficial thank you Mohit... So I assume I just have to wait it out for the next season When should I plant the Bulb in this case? Can the bulb be purchased now for planting later?
Anthony, it depends on where you live and what your weather is like. In some zones, they should be planted in fall (more temperate, warmer climates). Other zones that can get colder, they can be planted in spring after the last frost. (I’m on the US East Coast in Virginia.) So yes, they can be planted in March. I planted mine March 21 after ordering from a catalog that advertised ranunculus as a spring bulb. And out of 100 bulbs, I have about 80 sprouts, with more just poking through. Some plants are 4 inches tall already. Can’t wait until they bloom! Good luck with yours. Oh, and from my research, the bulbs won’t survive if kept in ground. They need to be dug up and stored for the winter.
great video! do you know any seeds supplier with good seeds that ship outside of India? I noticed that indian gardeners have quality seeds with very high germination rate.
Hi After the plant dries up, you advise to keep in cool palce for few months , till new sprout appears , I want to know if intermittent watering is needed while the Tuber is dormant ? Thanks Lovely video
Thank you for this video 🙂. Ranunculus is one of my many favorites🥰. I will definitely grow my ranunculus this October. I will set a reminder for me to buy the bulbs in September. You have a great many videos on how to grow from seed and I think that’s awesome! Have you ever grown Hellebores? I found your channel not too long ago. I was searching UA-cam on when to pinch Marigolds and I found your detailed video on how to grow them. It was godsend he he. Thank you for all the hard work and patience you put into your videos. If yes then please make a video on growing berries other than strawberry at home. Pleaseeee pleaseee. I really appreciate all of you videos as i love greenery. Have never tried growing much as i live in apartments. But will definately make my own balcony garden.

Before the sprouting happened and if your soil dried up...did you repeat watering? I fear that might kill my corms?.
