Mate that's a fantastic rig!! Love the A-Frame front. I'd love to get some design help from yourself for the VW Sand Rail my son is building. I'm good with attaching to the frame it's the wheel end that concerns me. I hope to hear from you
At this point this has to be the best looking one I've seen for sure but come on we all know at this point the front fenders are all cosmetic looks now lol they sent even under them but like I said amazing bug
I just read that you sold it... it was a super clean rig! I love how the rear fenders look with the rear cowl. They're shaped perfectly. What fenders are they?
Thank you, yeah it was a clean fast car. The rear fenders were from a 7 piece baja fiberglass body kit. I cut and reshaped the fenders to give them a cleaner line and flow with body better
That's a sweet bug man, I want to build one of those. If you don't mind me asking how much was this complete build, just so I can get a idea of how much it would be
Cole . Well all together I have 30k into the car but I have also rebuilt the a few different times which is why I have more $$ into it. But if you did all the fab work yourself like I did your probably 15-20k in parts.
Doing this same swap, how far did you move your tans back for the arms? Also i was planning on plumbing the Rad to the front how does yours handle with the weight at the rear?
I moved my trans back 2 inches for the 3x5 arms. The car handles great i've done a bit of tuning on the shocks so you cant notice the weight in the at all.
It was a fully built VW 091 bus trans axle and the motor was a Honda v6 not a LS. The trans axle held up great as long as you drove the car smart and didn't do anything stupid with it. When i first built the car i wanted a Mendeola trans but it wasn't in the budget at the time
Que hermoso vw😍😍 excelente proyecto hubiera durado más el video saludos
What a beauty. Only in my dreams. Damn.
A dream bug you did a nice work
This bug is sick AF. Don't think I could afford it but this is what I would dream of having for Baja.
Craig Thomas thank you i appreciate it
Nice Bug man! I'll bet it's a beast with that motor.

What trans axle did you go with? And did it hold up good with the ls?
It was a fully built VW 091 bus trans axle and the motor was a Honda v6 not a LS. The trans axle held up great as long as you drove the car smart and didn't do anything stupid with it. When i first built the car i wanted a Mendeola trans but it wasn't in the budget at the time
How much would this cost if you sold it?
I did actually sell it, I was asking $22k and ended up taking 18k for it
