Oh my God!! Kuantan is my mother's hometown!!! That place you went is always packed with people. Very near to my grandma's house. Please go to Warung Pak Ali Tanjung Lumpur and try nasi dagang and nasi lemak The nasi lemak there is served with sambal and fish. I mean the real 'fish' not anchovies. For breakfast you can try to go to pak su & mak su peramu a lot of local breakfast menu there. If you wanna buy keropok lekor, I reccommend you to buy from keropok lekor li pok soh.
Oh ya, ikan baker in the banana leaf is famous in Malaysia especially you can discover in the village area, very tasty and the smell is wonderful, Kaz take extra more to enjoy by HIS delicious food, it is worth for it😇😇😇
9:57 Some ingredients to make a great Peanut Gravy are peanuts that are been well roast & finely pounded, red chili, green chili, red onion, white onion, garlic, lemongrass, ginger, lime, coconut milk, sugar, salt, olive oil or palm oil & many more . Sometimes, they will put corn flour, soy milk, sesame oil, fish sauce, cow fat & many more .

I'm sure in your hardworking, problems and obstacles you face in order to provide us good contents, there will be good rewards for you. God bless. Btw, telur cempedak.....Lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have been in kuantan for like 4 years during my degree, and now im back in my hometown kelantan Among the food places that i crave from kuantan are: 1. Nasi Kerabu Mekla 2. Nasi Kukus Dapur Mama 3. Dofi Donuts Hopefully you would try them out if you had the chance.
9:52 There are actually many types of Sate, but usually there are 4 type of Sate : Satay Ayam (Chicken Satay) Satay Daging (Beef Satay) Satay Perut (Stomach Satay) , normally from cow . Satay Ikan (Fish Satay)
I'm from Kuantan... I really recommend these: - Restauran Jaman Tory (Try Daging Salai, beware it's quite spicy, you can ask for less spicy) - Restauran Mabiq 2 - Restauran Mohd Chan - Restauran Zaman - Kimstone Foodcourt (try Kelapa Joget) - Nasi Vanggey - Mee Tarik Warisan (not sure if still in business or not) - Kopi Mesin
Welcome to Kuantan, the Kuantan mural walk near the Kuantan Tower is one of the current spots in Kuantan. Lots of local cafe with their distinctive interior located at the street of Jalan besar. You may visit sg lembing for the fresh soya bean products, waterfall and nature walk. Lots of ppl visit tat plc. Take a look at our history museum too
Hello, Kaz... You should try Satay Emas in Medan Sate Kajang. They have more than 50 various satay like satay arnab (rabbit meat), satay tembusu and many more... It's super tender and juicy sate ayam and don't forget to try their satay tembusu it's super delicious... They served with kuah kacang and sambal... You should try, Kaz... Just take LRT to Kajang and you will arrive in just walking distance...
There are of course different kind of satay. Here in Johor, most of the famous satay have a strong spices flavor, while in Kelantan the satay and kuah satay its much sweeter. And there is another variety which is Satay Padang. Its a bit more spicy and quite scarce to get.
Indonesian variation (Padang/Minang/Bali etc) is rare/not popular in Malaysia for a reason: they are not our cup of tea. I myself find them bland when eaten on its own (meat not well-marinated compared to ours), and overwhelming when eaten with the sauces (no nuances or art in the making, it is just pure gluttony with gelatinous kecap, bawang, chillies, whatever have yous being thrown in there to the max). If im hankering for a (Malaysian) satay, and all i could find is sate minang, then I'd rather go hungry since imo it's not even on the same league.
9:57 The best Peanut Gravy when it's served hot, spicy but not too spicy, sour but not too sour, salty but not too salty, sweet but not too sweet & it peanuts have been finely pounded .
Wahhh ..finally u go Kuantan 😁You should try Nasi Minyak near Jeti Tanjung Api .. & I recommend , Sata & Otak Otak Maksu Paksu at Tanjung Lumpur . Have Goreng2 too🤤🤤🤤🤤
My standard of satay is, first 1 pc of beef fat must be layered between meats. Second kuah kacang must be balanced; spicy, sweet, sour, saltiness and peanut is slightly burnt and still have textured.
Kaz, if you decided to travel to Kelantan. I can recommend a few eatery place for you and I can guarantee you it tastes authentic. Restoran Pohon Jati - Roti Canai, kedarotipaye - Roti Tempayan Kari Kambing (its a bit spicy) Kak Tie Nasi Kerabu, Ana Muslim - Various ikan sungai dishes. All of this is located in the district of Kuala Krai 😋 (take note there is not a lot of tourist place here, and if you happen to go back to KL right away, use the ktm night travel sleeping coach and you'll have a nice relaxing trip back 😄)
those petai makes me so so hungry.. the way that uncle burn the fish + sambal petai tu its must be so taste,am i right? love to see u enjoy the meals..
For me the best satay is when you eat the satay itself, and you taste all the spices with just nice amount, and juicy..surely the meat well marinated...and you can eat it without the sauce...for the sauce i prefer kuah kacang with a little bit of chunky peanut...
Kaz, you are in Kuantan right now 😭. I studied in Pekan. Kuantan and Pekan are very close. I really want to see you. But unfortunately I just finished studying. Hope you have fun in Pahang ☺️.
For me, a must try for malay style satay is satay kambing and satay babat (tripe). For Indonesian style satay it’s buffalo satay and for Chinese style satay it’s pork satay with a dollop of pineapple purée with the peanut sauce
Hi kaz! Welcome to Malaysia. If you want to try another delicious and famous satay, you can go to Restaurant Sate Hj Samuri/Sate Kajang at Kajang, Selangor. Enjoy!
Satay itself show how smart and cleaver our ancestors who create this delicious meal. Satay serve with cucumber and onion which can naturalize carbon of the satay inside our stomach...
Make sure to brush your teeth and use a mouthwash immediately after you eat petai. Petai taste good surely, but most people will hate the smell of your breath afterwards.
I can’t eat sambal kacang anymore because I just got allergic to kacang during hari raya. I think it because I eat too much peanut rempeyek then I got the allergic 😂
Kaz-san or Kaz bro :3 Satay -wa jk jk Satay , Kaz is a harmony food , A good Satay consist of the meat, the gravy , the condiment and most importantly the hands that make them..so everything is important.. if one part is not good its effect your overall satay experience
