Her's - I'll Try (Live @ Sonia, March 10th 2019)

One of the last sets that Her's ever played, uploaded on the second anniversary of their fatal accident.
We heard about the concert just a few hours before it began. It was a wonderful surprise, since we had recently fallen in love with the band and were eager to see them live. Stephen and Auden had such a great stage presence and the show was a lot of fun. When I saw them begin their "bass serenade" I knew that they were leading into my favorite song of theirs -- this one -- so I did my best to capture the performance on my shitty Pixel phone. It's not the best recording, but it still manages to capture Stephen's characteristic vibrato, which is more pronounced than it is on the album version.
After the show we waited around awkwardly as Her's chatted with (seemingly) every other fan at the show. Even though we were the last people there, Stephen and Auden were super friendly and made silly faces in the photos we took with them. They simply radiated joy. It was clear that they were living exactly the life they wanted.
