If i hear a song i like all i can think about is how much nicer it would be with heroin or pills. Then i start to crave it and then i'm in a bad mood. So i just stay away from it most of the time. That’s crazy…..That literally makes 0 sense for you… Johnny is saying his senses(like everyone else’s) become dull or nonexistent when they’re high. That’s the whole point of heroin , to numb the pain of living day to day, so you don’t feel anything .
Unfortunately it numbs everything else , like sense of smell , happiness , music , nostalgia etc .
In other words …. Everyone that does heroin knows what he’s saying and what I’m saying , that smell of flowers doesn’t bring him nostalgia . I’m the same way with music , when I got clean music was SO different it would literally make me emotional how nostalgic music could make me feel and how amazing it would be . It’s felt like I was listening to music for the first time ever.
It’s pretty crazy that you say your love of music was gone when you sobered up , it’s literally insane that you loved music only when you were high, it’s the legit opposite of what 99% of addicts feel! I guess everyone’s different and it hits everyone different , you just so happen to be the massive minority

San Fernando Valley and being that my parents were alcoholics and abusive. Life was so different back then. I have to admit I do miss that LA feeling sometimes but I am not the same person I was back then. I realized God loves me that we are Heavenly Fathers Sons and Daughters. I learned to love myself and he changed me. I could not be were I am now with out Jesus in my life. I can't believe this is me talking about Jesus in my life I always thought people who did were religious fanatics but I am talking about how much he loves all of us. He does not care how many mistakes we made he just wants us to know we are loved and to love ourselves.
