That was an awesome video. That's some machine i hadn't seen a portable separater only fixed ones like Tom perembelton have and their very expensive to buy and run. It has to be more of an advantage to get a contractor in to do it and its some way of making space for slurry specially if you're getting a lot bad weather and the slurry ban Nice to see the calves you have fine calves their Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one
Is it cost effective....pay for separation..spread liquid...spread solids. Also see solids taken up shed space. Not critical, idea seems good but is it cost effective. Great video non thr less
@@seanfinn2004 yes I get your point. I guess u could store it outside and put a silo sheet on it possibly. You can put it outside but better inside. We were very tight for room this year so thought we would try it out. Thanks for your comment

@farmingwiththepattersons 👍
Hope you remembered to wash your hands 🙌 Fascinating video
@@davidstewart2943 yes had to wash them more than once 😅
Thats a serious pile of manure you have left after separating.
Right job to put out on the whole crop or maize ground 👌🏼
@@cdemo1186 should be good stuff 👍

Great machine but unless you need slurry space, I can’t see the benefit in using it.
Separation takes the p&k out of the slurry. Whilst it saves storage it makes it harder to get nutrients into silage ground etc
You still have to put the solids back onto the ground so unless you have arable ground, you are still no better off.
