Hey Sk, Love the Active Captain footage. I see that you drop in round 3 to 5 ft away from the target fish. Can’t get that close to fish around here. You must be fishing in MUD. Hardly ever get to fish over them like that because of water being so clear. We have to stay 15 to 20 feet away from target fish and pitch past them. Looks like you move you boat instead of controlling the jig with rod or line movement. Can’t do that here either because of clear to lightly stained water. Great footage for muddy water fishing. Looking forward to show tonight.
I've had to whip out my 16' Denali from time to time when my fish are spooky even in the murky waters we have down here..... They are temperamental some days I can got on top of them and other days not... Thanks Chuck.....
Man you got this unit dialed in, and you gotta be on a lake that has big fish in it, where I live or fish I am lucky to catch maybe 1 or 2 of those size fish per year, with my livescope, the ones I catch are babies compared to those.😊
I really enjoyed watching you work those fish, I just got my transducer and black box. I’m looking for a monitor I’m just confused as to which one to buy, can I ask you which one do you have ? Garmin of course!
I always advise getting the biggest you can comfortably afford.... The bigger the screen the more you can see.... I'd say a minimum of at least a 10" screen the 106sv is a good unit that you can find on sale often. The 126sv is a 12" screen that's a good one also that you can find on sale. You'll have to make a decision weather you want a touch screen or if you can deal with buttons.... Thanks!
Hey SK, I know that your LVS32 is mounted to your trolling motor. When we see you backing up cause you go past that fish, do you turn your trolling motor around or just let the wing back you up. Im having a hard time staying on target. You definitely have more boat control that me, my boat is a lot lighter too.
This recording was from a week ago.... If you're on FB check out the or page Houston Area Crappie Fishing of you want to see pics of the fish we catch......11 to 15" fish are caught regularly....Thanks
Hey have you ever had an issue with your GoPro blinking really badly whenever it videos your livescope screen? Mine just randomly started doing this and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
I have observed watching your channel that you use different Garmin Graphs (Echomap Ultras and lately the GPSMAP 1243xsv) for LIVESCOPE. I am in the market for a dedicated console sonar and LIVESCOPE multipurpose Graph. Since its a multipurpose one console graph should I go with an Echomap Ultra 126sv the w/ GT56 and the LVS32 or the GPSMAP 1243xsv w/ GT56 and LVS32? Please advise. Thank for your advise.
Not sure, I've dialed in several lvs34 with the same results as I'm get'n with my lvs32..... Could be a install or power issue.... What area are you in?
@@SK_CrappieCatching from what i have read, and after noticing your range at 25' this is the culprit. i run mine at 60-80' (mainly rivers and bay fishing). the farther the range the more it reduces the dimensions of the fish. i tried it at close range and got the same results as you. they cant hide now! Gotta love the livescope!!
That's awesome.... As long as you're out there fishing is the goal....I started the same as you're fishing now, my 1st boat was a 10ft little jon boat with no electronics and I still caught a lot of good fish..... Keep your jigs or minnas wet and good catches to you.....
@@SK_CrappieCatching thank you. I see a lot of crappie anglers use two jigs in the south. It's rare to double up but I suppose they are just trying to cover different depths at once.
Do you have it dialed in? Is your transducer on your trollmotor or a pole? If you're in the Houston area or would like to travel here I'd be happy to take you on a guided trip and show you how to!

I'm still on hard water up here in mid Canada.. Can't wait to get out on my boat and get AT going, I'm using it through the ice.

Pollen is bad here in South Carolina. Impossible to see jig
It definitely affects the clarity and what you're able to see..... Lowering my gain helps clear out up a bit.....Thanks
Even with a egg weight?
I use to fish just like this, till I fished around Kevin bean. . He outfished me 4 to 1 casting. Now I cast 99 percent of time.
Casting works well in certain situations for me but I rarely very rarely use that technique.....Thanks
