Dendi is the face of navi. He gets all the credit, but he doesn't ever mention that he is the best (except in the all star) He always does what his team needs, and has always been a team player.
They deserved it either way because the skill it requires to time that like that as partners is absolutely incredible, and such a small window of time for it to be just right, so I hand it to them for being that good at it,
this is my favourite comeback ever

It's due to a difference in mechanics of the 'Static point' and the 'Movable point'. In Dota 1, the static point was where the hook was launched, and the movable point (point that moves with pudge) was actually the tip of the hook, which was why you could slightly bend the hook or extend it using force staffs. In Dota 2, this in inverted, the tip of the hook is a static point, and will always go towards that certain location, but where it hooks them to changes based on pudge's location.

Well, I agree with everything you've said except the last. Puppey himself said it was the fountain hooks that allowed the alch to free farm.

Win is win people. You can't argue over a win because it is the result. It is what is done already and what is more important - there's no matter how it is done. Same story with the last game of Grand Finals - Na'Vi vs Alliance.

he was send back to fountain by Puppey (Chen) as the final second of the cast goes he throws hook sending them both back to base, can be done as well on Allied Heroes

the big plays of na'vi definatly make for an awesome game but i do actually and i assume many others can enjoy the slow less high octane matches much more chess like, where there are much more impacting plays from smaller clashes. and the smaller scrapes into the lead give the better team the lead and it becomes a high skill game where the smallest mistake can throw away the game so all players play calm safe and precise objective winning dota. its a game that allows both calm and hectic play

Chen has a skill that teleport friendlys back to the fountain after a delay. so... Chen casts it on dendi, dendi waits until the delay is almost done and then shoots the hook.. while the hook is flying off (before it hits) dendi gets teleported and then when the hook hits it brings the target back to the fountain

Not only that, but the main reason they won was because the Alchemist was able to get his farm, and since Dendi and Puppey started fountain hooking, the Alchemist was uncontested in his lane, so TongFu allowed him to become powerful and eventually allow him to win the game for Na'Vi.
That aegis gyro kill was crucial, but it wasn't THE main reason they won. It was because of TongFu playing safe and farming. They didn't adapt to Na'Vi's risky fountain hooking strat.

@Suzie, The thing is that they HAD to pick batrider and alch every round because [A] always picked wisp and np and they needed alch to contest np's crazy farm and they needed batrider because he is almost as mobile and versatile in teamfights as wisp.

Valve has already stated they dont intend to fix it, so it's not a bug, it's a mechanic :)

I agree with the trick part, there are a lot of more tricks in dota 1, like force staff hook with shift, curved hook,etc. But the downside to this is that in dota 1 it`s nearly impossible to stop the hook if you reconsidered the target/position in a split second. You have a better chance of stopping lina`s stun, which is also near impossible.

the fountain hooking didn't allow xboct to farm, it's the way tong fu played it that allowed xboct to farm. they were running passively as a group of 5, begging dendi to just blindly hook towards their group. if he missed they played just as passive and if he hit, they ran away. they showed a perfect example of how to throw away a lead and fans are blaming it on the fountain hooking.

It's not a bug nor a exploit, valve "fixed it" at some point, but they put it back into the game because everyone wanted it. It is part of the game.
Even if it is a bug, it still doesn't need to be patched.
I mean, Weavers a bug.. Thats why he was a tier 1 pick at TI3.

Yeah but we already know a few things in Dota 2 are different such as Items not longer blocking pathways as they did in Dota 1.
It means in the Dota 1 engine, there were certain mechanics which Ice Frog never intended.

I don't think its an exploit or a bug. The game is following what the skill description is. Pretty much like the puck bottle send back trick that dendi and na'vi also uses.
what do you mean, they removed force staff hook but they added 200 range to hook itself.

it doesn't work on Dota1 , but work with IO , stand with io in base , connect and cast teleport then hook before you move
