In my job I don’t have to size transformers but I have experienced issues with under sizing with regards to inrush current. Specifically across-the-line starters. Are engineers typically taking inrush into account when sizing or are they just sizing by FLA? Likewise, if they are using inrush, do they size differently for soft starters vs ATL? Thanks!
