- My shop Killer Performance finished installing a bigger cam and ported supercharger on my 2023 Escalade V. This is a MUST IMO if you want to mod your Escalade. Its so goooood!

That metal cowl has some nuts and glue holding it to the body. A heat gun releases from the body fairly easy. GM tech here. We take them off all the time.

Probably some hi-flow cats. But literally that's it. Given emissions restricts GM has to abide by. I'd say they knocked the V right out of the park from the factory!

I don’t get it trackhawks are still super popular and people will pay crazy money for them but the Escalade v not a lot of people are buying them this will go down just like the cts v wagons after they are discontinued people will want them
The Escalade is way more expensive than a Trackhawk
It’s not a matter of people wanting them, it’s a matter of people being able to drop $160k to get one.

GM tech again, all the lower cowls come off on 19/20-24 GMC/Chev/Cadillac trucks and SUV’s. Once the plastic cowl, wipers arms, few other small things and the wiper motor are out of the way there’s like 12-15 fasteners holding it in and then you have to work the glue appart to separate it and get it off.. the hood can stay on during this process, sometimes taking off one prop strut makes it easier to get it on and off.
Most of the engine service procedures on the 1500 LM2’s and LZ0’s diesels (truck or SUV) require this cowl to come off. The glue on some vehicles separates a lot easier then others.. some of the are real stuck on haha.

I work at GM Wentzville and the Colorado/Canyon metal cowl does remove. If you remove the wiper arms and plastic cowl you may see the same on the Escalade. Also the wipers motor has to be removed to pull the metal cowl.
Not really saying it can’t but it’s a decent amount of work.
Its not as bad as it sounds, specially once you have it off the amount of space you get is crazy! That has to be removed to work on the 3.0 duramax when doing rear glow plugs or other stuff back there, separating the glue is the hardest part
Yes sir, the cowl comes off with a few 10 mm and rtv sealant, blk if I remember along with the wet windows security and safety visibility contraption
I wish I could afford an Escalade V lol. I might just turbo my 07 Escalade as a cheap substitute for now

So the cowl does come off you need to separate it unbolt it then when reinstalling use new sealer on the sides that need sealing
that behind the V shot, listening to that exhaust note.... if you don't have a big grin on your face, WHO EVEN ARE YOU? WHY ARE YOU HERE? lol

@@StangkilrProductions it’s not fun! Have to do it to work on Chevys 3.0 liter diesel motors
Correct the cowl has some 10 mm nuts/bolts, and then you have to pull on it to break the seal. Some come right off. Some are harder. But it takes like 10/15 minutes max to do this vs, struggling for hours to get the rear sc bolt and what not out. I pull the cowl off on ats-v, ct4-v bw, and the escalade v's when I work on them. The ct5-v blackwing I don't do this to as it has lots of room all around the engine.
Does a V have cylinder deactivation? I hate that it kills GM engines. Hoping the V does not. Thanks

I believe that transfer case is only allowing 70% to rear 30 to front or maybe that's the older style and when u doing a burnout possible the traction control or stabilitrak is not seeing the front wheels moving is Why idk 🤔 but still rad asf I got to see my first one at the local grocery store the other day in 8 inches of snow lol low an behold Kane brown was driving it lol 😆 sweet ride and vid my guy frfr
