Aoki is decent at boxing meanwhile he's good at: 1. Making ramen 2. Baseball 3. Fishing 4. Magic trick Meanwhile Takamura is Godly in boxing only and he's bad at everything else. If this is not boxing manga Aoki will shine for sure.
At least they trash talk in front of the person immediately. Most people will trash talk you behind your back but when they're in front of you they'll act nice. There's no fakery in Ippo and his seniors relationship.
