This back and forth between Gymnast and Player5 is so entertaining. And I love that the new clipping glitch (that I assume works with the latest patch too) involves Gymnast making Link be a gymnast.

@@tonysimon8060technically yeah; however what op meant is that the underground intro sequence ends and you gain control on great sky island at that time (runs that only do great sky island actually start their timer here, and allow for runners to load saves that skip the intro)

It's a glitch that lets him hold more than one weapon at once. I think it's called Zuggle.

I swear I've seen like 10 new WRs over the last week or two and every one looks different, crazy how mercurial the routing still is, yet already the run is so fast! You're wing drops look really clean btw, very cool to watch.

@@notashton00he WR has been rapidly trading hands in part due to all the new strats/route changes that have been coming nonstop for the last few weeks, potentially allowing someone to get a new WR with less than perfect execution just because the time save from a new route is that significant
from what I’ve seen player5 and slyzorua are among the other strong WR contenders; iirc the last few WRs have all been by one of them or gymnast

probably won’t be for a while; switch games are basically impossible to TAS as of right now due to technical limitations (don’t really know the specifics, sry)

GGs, it's so exciting to watch TOTK live streams, witnessing Gym and P5 exchanging WRs
Given the same route, I'd say P5 would always have the upper hand, he's simply a mechanical skill masterclass, speed and precision of buttom smash is unbelievable. Gym is more of a game knowledge guru, but nothing is stopping him to evolve into mechanical beast, so fun to see this joruney unfold!
Player5 responds with at 47:56 in a couple days at the latest :P

Yes it's a glitch called Zuggling. It lets him hold multiple weapons at once you just don't see the other weapons.

Why does Ganondorf die so quickly? Is it because no blood moons?
What!? What makes you think Blood Moons has anything to do with it's lifebar?
It's because of a glitch called Zuggling, which allows you to hold multiple weapons at once. You can't see it, but every time he hits Ganondorf he's hitting with 5 of the same weapon, which does a ton of damage.
TOTK “speedruns” are looking like a joke to me. Just skip skip skip. Not much strategy in anything. Not about unique routes or resource management. Just… clip & skip.
Can anyone please share any channels of players who run glitchless speedruns of TOTK? Would love to support them
