...and best player ever...until serious injury...after that start watching NHL...Love Pistons and Red Wings...never been in Detroit but Grant Hill is my teenager hero in NHL was Polish Mariusz Czerkawski (Bruins, New York , Montreal...not famous but he played with legends...)
When I was in 3rd grade, Grant Hill came to my school (Howe Elementary, Detroit) and the entire gym was paaaaaacked. He made a bet with a few of the kids that they couldn't hit a free throw on the first attempt. When my classmate made it, he gave the entire school candy bars and my classmate $100. Grant Hill had his own signature CANDY BAR tho lmao. Isaiah Thomas had an ice cream around that time too. Detroit loves it's ball players. He earned this.
Man, my dad and I were basketball junkies, both college and NBA. At age 6 of course I was a fan of MJ in 1996, but after his retirement, I discovered players like Tim Duncan and Grant Hill at age 7 and 8. Grant Hill then became my idol. I loved the teal Pistons jerseys, I would draw Hill's jersey on paper and draw the Piston logo over and over. I had a basket in my front yard and worked on my game and pretended that I was Grant Hill lol good times. I continued to follow Grant Hill throughout his career and would be happy to see him with a new team, still playing. I am happy that he did have a 19 year career in the NBA, but to this day I ask myself, "what could he have become if he never had so many setbacks?" Much deserved, Hill. Congratulations!
Before injuries slowed him down, he was the closest thing to Jordan that I had seen. Kobe was the other time that I have said that. Hill was a man playing among boys out there.
His trade to the Magic was the Herschel Walker Trade of the NBA, with Grant Hill as the Herschel Walker of this trade. Do I see Hershel Walker in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, or do I see Emmitt Smith there? Exactly! So why isn't Ben Wallace (the Emmitt Smith of this trade) in the Naismith while Grant Hill is?
@Domini478 Shaq wasn't the face until the Lakers... Jordan was just coming out of retirement. NBA was pushing Hill to be the face but the Pistons could not win.
If we're just being real. Grant Hill is getting in based off of sympathy. Penny hardaway had a devastating injury and you don't see people inducting him into the hof. Maybe it's longevity. And if that's the case d rose needs to get in when he retires.
Grant hill = Underrated
Not really true...Grant still have a Record of people voting to play him in All-Star game....

Class Act...... Congratulations on your HOF selection.
imagine if he had stayed healthy on the Magic and they got Tim Duncan Orlando was a move away from a dynasty
We would have a real interesting debate on the GOAT Teams and players.
Darius but if he stayed healthy don’t you think they would’ve won more? Resulting in a whole different draft...
@@yunge9482 nah they were gonna sign him because he wanted to leave SA at the time
Very under appreciated player. The biggest what if ever alongside TMac.
I loved watching this dude duking it out with T-Mac
Who remembers his sprite ad?
I will always have him in my all time 10 favorites. He could've been a multiple time champion and mvps if injuries weren't involved.
Before injuries slowed him down, he was the closest thing to Jordan that I had seen. Kobe was the other time that I have said that. Hill was a man playing among boys out there.
What Could've Been 😔 He Could've Been A Great Player! If It Wasn't For Injuries 😢💔
I aint know Grant game was like that sheesh congrats
deadly from midrange later in his career
🤹..Hill had Jada Pinkett before Will Smith.🤹....

Grant Hill would've been the greatest player of all time. Even better than Lebron.
Relax
Hill was the face of the league before the ankle injury.
@Domini478 Shaq wasn't the face until the Lakers... Jordan was just coming out of retirement. NBA was pushing Hill to be the face but the Pistons could not win.
Waiting on that Mike Epps Biopic
I didn't know g. Hill was this nasty. I'm ashamed. I knew he was highly respected, but I didn't know he was like this. much respect for Grant
LeBron>>Kd
No shit Sherlock... Of course
Did FILA congratulated him already? :D
Why repeat so much footage?
Believe me he has way more footage than you tube can show
They rush him in orlando the result more injuries
Good player but not for long enough HOF I don't think so sorry

They just wanted a Duke player in the Hall. Grant Hill couldn't take over the game at the end and will his team to victory like a superstar!
@@DeeNice681 yeah I'm not trying to bash him he was a good player and had great potential but now I see the diffence between different sports' hof
I guess ...
