Say, Bonjour until about sunset, then switch to Bonsoir. Also, while you are in Trois Ilets, take a ferry to the capital. There will be great filming there, but don't miss the last boat back, about 5:30p, or I should say 17:30 as they will say on the island. There are three ferries. One from Anse Mitan/Anse a L'Ane, one from the Marina in Pointe de Bout and the third from Trois Ilets Bourg. It looks like you are staying in Pointe de Bout, so the marina is your best bet. When returning, do not confuse the Trois Ilets Bourg ferry with the Trois Ilets Marina ferry. Bourg means the city and you are probably not staying there. You will want an A/R ticket, it means allez/retour (go and come back thus roundtrip). Maybe 8 euros, for a tourist. I have many more suggestions, if you want to contact me privately.
Thank you for the information. Today I took the ferry to Fort De France. I also took the ferry there on Sunday. Today I was a little confused with the ferry back, but luckily some friendly ladies helped me choose the correct ferry. Today I took some video of walking around Fort De France. I should have went earlier though. I started at about 330PM, and many shops seemed like they were going to close already. Also, the weather here has been mostly cloudy, or raining. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll try to enjoy the beach. Thursday I'm going to Guadeloupe for 5 days. If you have some recommendations for Guadeloupe, that would be great. Thank You.
If you are taking the ferry to Guadeloupe, you will have a great opportunity to take video of the destruction, in Dominica. You won't be leaving the boat, but it docks downtown and you should get a good view of the terminal and at least the water front. Maybe 5 minutes worth. Be warned. One ferry leaves from St Pierre and the other from Fort de France, same company. It's confusing so look closely at your ticket. There is a ticket office at the ferry terminal downtown Fort de France. They had vending machines to sell the tickets, but I don't know if they ever work. All of this is at the front of the ferry terminal. One google maps, on the east side of downtown the terminal is marked Express des Iles, Inter-Island Terminal. In Guadeloupe, I suggest renting a car and circling the island. Well it's made up of two connected islands. Expect it to be a lot like Martinique. Same clothes, cars, money, language, culture. Avoid the big city at rush hour, expect it to be dark by 6pm and stores closing by 5 or 6pm. You have to start early, because the sun goes down so early. Watch out for street signs that say Rappel Radar. That means you are driving by a radar speed trap. At least they warn you. You may be able to get a ferry to Antigua. But Antigua, took in a lot of refugees from Barbuda after a hurricane. There may not be any rooms left on the island. You have be warned. Also, Sint Maarten is closed for business, Anguilla I think was destroyed. You could try going to Montserrat, it is lightly populated and the big attraction, is the active volcano. You might get a permit to visit the volcano, it depends on how calm it is that day. It would be nice to have some video of the lesser known islands. Saint Kitts and Nevis (two islands - one country). If not, you can get a flight from Guadeloupe to Dominican Republic (not Dominica).
BlessedNutrition hey are you on Facebook? I'm from St. Vincent and would be travelling to Martinique next year. You seem really knowledgeable and I could use your expertise.
@@BlessedNutrition oh my goodness. Are you serious? You can just take thr ferry down to Guadeloupe then return to Martinique at the end of the day? How wonder! Would add so much to a vacation. I've never been to Martinique though I live in the Caribbean (Grenada). Been to the SLU and Dominica though. I would so love to visit one day (although I don't speak French) because it looks like such a beautiful island.
Richard, do a full video of walking up Mount Pele. It will be a workout, but its done by a lot of people every day. You follow the map to the parking lot and just follow people up. Start early in the morning, because night comes early in Martinique and the trail will not be the place to be at sunset. Also, it can get cool(ish) and wet because you will be up in the clouds.
There was a hurricane that went there earlier. But, this is still the low season. I was told tourists will start coming in late November. The probably get full of French speaking Canadians and people from mainland France.
wud you like to keep an eye out for world streetworkout? it's popular sport in martinique and guadeloupe (la datcha beach at the park beside it in the evenings)
Do you have suggestion for a expats, foreigners or locales Facebook page, whats app group , Telegram group etc. That I could join to see what's going on around the island?
Please subscribe. It helps me out. Click here - goo.gl/2GMspw
Wish you had done this when the sun was out.

Thanks from Scotland.
