Do not invest emotionally so deep in someone without testing them through time. Partners are supposed to come meet you at least half way! You don't have to carry a burden the entire way. I'm not talking about equality here, but the equity.
If holistically you're depleting and not growing, this means the relationship is Toxic and selfish on one end.
