What you see at 5:02 is called a thermocline. Difference between colder and warmer water. Seen a few myself when scuba diving in some deep rock quarries
I know this is late but I just found it. I was thinking 'what's with the exotic gas' until I remembered that what I explore dry can be hundreds of feet below the surface. Something I've heard a couple of times is that the timbers supporting the back and ribs of a tunnel retain a great deal more strength if they remain completely submerged compared to those timbers in a shaft with high humidity or occasionally submerged. True? Great video. Thanks for sharing.
We worked in this mine for couple of years, checking water and air radioactivity. As most of radiation comes from radon gas released deep in the mine, actually air there is much more dangerous than being underwater....;) That's why mine is being ventilated.
@@witoldhoffmann Different isotopes cause different damages to you. The water is probably diluted with slow decaying radioisotopes and other toxins that you probably shouldn't get into you.

@@insidiouspeanut I have never personally dove in waters such as that, but Bikini Atoll (site of US nuclear arms testing) has very low radiation levels in water. Nuclear radiation does not travel through water as well as it does through air as far as I am aware.
@@insidiouspeanut Why would uranium rods be used to heat the water in a nuclear power plant? I am confused by you stating uranium is highly soluble in water. In this mine it will be unrefined ore. I have never had any of my ore samples dissolve in water. Can you give me some hints to make my uranium ore samples become highly soluble?
Considering how many bail out tanks they brought. It's pretty deep 😂 they where probably in the water a few hours most of that time would be coming back up decompressing
@@Randori89 Agree, if the uranium is in the rocks. But uranium can dissolve in water and you wouldn't want a single drop of uranium containing water in your eyes, nose or mouth.
Amazing work! Thank you! Wondering if anyone thinks these or other mines/magma chambers may have been nuclear reactors, resiviors, or hydro salt etc.power stations, possibly animal or..Titan remains that were buried or petrified, rediscovered and mined? Just sayin...

It actually looks like hydrogen sulfide layer. Usually thermoclines look blurry but not cloudy like that
Uranium miners: OMG, I am happy to leave finally, it’s uranium!
Divers : ...anyway...
Poskładane ze smaczkiem to się ceni i miło ogląda! Pozdrawiam

Nice one man, looks dangerous af with all that hanging timber.
i am saying this because i think teh video is great: pleaaase without this music :O
5:17 Oof. Close enough.
Szkoda, że podkładem dźwiękowym nie są same odgłosy wodne, nurkowania itd i trzeba oglądać przecież na wyciszeniu!
Apparently the mine is no longer radioactive?? Did you bring a Geiger counter or rely on others saying it was fine?

Isn't that squishy, soft material asbestos?
No, no toxic exposure risk at all, here folks
holy shit that music is aggrevating

Bardzo możliwe że są to... słodkowodne gąbki. Badania tych "strzępków" są prowadzone, namnażają się czasem gwałtownie w niektórych partiach kopalnii.
Amazing. How many meters deep and how long do you stay under? I saw three tanks, one has nitrogen?
can you explain what all the floating debris is at the end of the video?
Kicked up silt / algae that was once on the floor or ceiling. Caused by kicking to move.
@@ryanclarke331 uranium is highly soluble in water, did this not concern the divers?

Wow ! What’s the name of the song ?
Pedro Abreu safe and warm
Nice !!
is this not insanely danger? lol
no, the uranium ore does not radiation so strongly, and the water shield the radiation, also
@@Randori89 Agree, if the uranium is in the rocks. But uranium can dissolve in water and you wouldn't want a single drop of uranium containing water in your eyes, nose or mouth.
@@Randori89 I think what he/she meant is the danger due to a possible mine collapse, not the radiation risks from uranium or other isotopes.
Just for Fun?!
What's the song?
It's called "Safe and Warm in hunters arms" by Roller Genoa.
MrTreblue thank
The music... 🙉 No music, please!
Great video - it would be great if you either voiced over or had text over it to describe what you were seeing. The music is kind of pointless.
