  • The Kyosho Inferno GT2 with the Aston Martin Racing DBR9 is the latest version of the dynamic GT2 machine, based on the World Championship-winning Inferno 7.5. The GT2, which created the GT class of 1/8 road cars, is built by Kyosho, which has more than 35 years of racing experience and engineering under its belt, and it shows. The GT2 features high-tech composite and alloy construction that strikes an unmatched balance of performance and durability that is only possible through the many years of research and development that Kyosho has accumulated.
Powered by a big (relatively speaking) 4.6cc engine, the GT2 features a centrifugal clutch and an automatic two-speed transmission. First gear gives you strong acceleration for a strong exit out the tight corners, while second gear lets the GT2 stretch its legs on the long straights and sweeping corners of the track or street. The GT2 tops out above 60 mph, and it gets there faster than any street car in existence.
A durable and efficient shaft drive gets power to the front and rear differentials of the all-wheel-drive system. The differentials are sealed to allow the use of optional tuning fluid to tune the differential action, if desired.
Low profile semi-slick tires feature a shallow tread pattern for good all around performance on the street or track, optional genuine Kyosho slicks are available in a range of compounds for the ultimate performance.
The GT2 runs on 20 to 30 percent nitro fuel, available at many RC specialty shops in your local area and around the world. A simple pull-starter will get a properly rtuned engine fired up in a matter of seconds, and the engine can stay running as long as you want to keep pouring fuel in the tank. The GT2 can be refueled while the engine is running, so there's no need to stop and restart the engine.
A full range of Kyosho factory options are available to increase the performance capability of this already-balistic machine, so there's no limit to the amount of fun and performance you can achieve. Visit www.kyosho.com for more information about this and many other Kyosho products.

It's similar, but it's got a longer wheelbase chassis, new engine with a pilot shaft crank, new clutch, new flywheel, new gear ratios in the two speed, larger 150cc fuel tank, dual disc brakes, standard front and rear chassis braces and turnbuckle linkages for the upper suspension and steering linkage. The longer wheelbase gives the car more steering better proportions, so the bodies are closer to actual dimensions. The original GT was a lot shorter so the bodies weren't quite as scale.

Guess what?! We got a Lancia Stratos body in stock. I can't believe we made one, but it's here while it lasts. ;o)

The production and camera work on this video is totally awesome. I've actually come back to watch it again a couple of times. I find that first song totally captivating.
Is there any chance of another run of the Audi DTM bodies? Or a BMW or Mercedes GT2 DTM?

@WipEoutXRidgeRacer It's a GT2. The GT1 had the shorter wheelbase of course, but it also had the green Aston Martin DBR9. The GT2 shown here has the longer wheelbase chassis, the GXR28 engine with the black cylinder head, and light blue Aston Martin/Gulf livery of the longer wheelbase body.

It's called "Rock the Road" from Dynamedion. It's available from ShockwaveSound along with many other royalty free titles. They're about $30 per song.

This version of the car is only available as fuel powered. A conversion exists to change it to brushless electric power. But rumor has it that an electric version may be available in the near future.

The newer versions of the GT2 have upgraded gears that are much more durable. Still, gear mesh is important to check on a regular basis to ensure the longest gear life possible. Adjusting the shift point of the transmission is also simple and proper adjustment will also help to ensure the longest life. Set the shift point to happen earlier than later, and that will preserve the gears. Kyosho also sells an optional competition transmission that is designed for increased durability.

The first song is "Military Break" by Wesley Devine, and the second is "Rock the Road" by Dynamedion

This car shares many parts in common with the Sports2 series. The primary differences are the longer wheelbase chassis, two-speed transmission, shock towers, shorter shocks, much stiffer springs, and the front bumper and mount. The US Sports2 also includes a higher end radio with digital trim settings and a 10 model memory. Both the US Sports 2 and the ST US Sports 2 (the truck version) share a lot in common with this car.

Less. ;o) You can get it from A Main Hobbies for $440. These cars are quite a bit of fun. They're big, very fast, and they handle well.

It has always been available with engine, servos, transmitter, etc. Perhaps you're asking if it's available without, in which case, yes, but only on a very limited basis. A special edition fitted with a Sirio 24 engine was made in very small numbers, and there's one dealer in the US that did carry them. There may be just a few left, but they're hard to find. It's no different than the car you see here, except that the blue parts are anodized red on the special edition.

Being a HUGE ALMS/LMS fan this is what i have been looking for. all those boring unrecognizable bodies and designs just don't do it for me. Ill be picking this up soon! Also, is it possible to get a Lancia Stratos body on your Citroen C4 Rally car? I love Loeb and all but the Stratos is HOTTTTTTT

There is a new version of the car coming in a couple of months that will have a new engine, transmission and 2.4 GHz radio that will make this the premiere car in its class. It should be out in January.

I bought the exact same car and the first time I used it one of the gears got ruined. But still it's a great car.

    @ralphrosario1
You need to look after the gears, just like any other car, by setting and checking the gear mesh on a regular basis. Setting a reasonable shifting point can also extend gear life considerably. The transmission should shift in the first 30 feet. Setting the transmission to shift when the engine is at very high rpm isn't as quick, and it's harder on the gears. an optional clutch-type 2-speed is available for use with high-performance engines.
