This is exactly what I've been spending loads of time looking for! So many apps out there but finding the right one for using with Chromebook and UA-cam for Pitch and Tempo changes has been a challenge. Thanks for the detailed tutorial. Getting the extension right now!
Christal, thank you so much for posting and explaining in such detail. As a budding guitarist, this seems ideal for loading onto my desktop to assist with tutorials in more detail and looping tricky sections too 🙌
@@stalj Just installed on my desktop and works a treat and invaluable! Brilliant channel by the way, how long have you been playing? Thanks again Sub'd.
Thanks for the tip. Didn't occur to me that there were Chrome extensions to slow down & loop youtube... will definitely be using this for practice. Many thanks :)
I don't know why I didn't ask the question on the interwebs... I've seen ads for apps that remove tracks from songs, but that's not what I need. I don't wanna spend my time changing tunings on my guitar so I needed an app to change the tuning of the song (or technically the pitch). And this app also allows me to slow the song down, that's great! I downloaded it and tried it whilst watching and it works quite well. Sadly I'm not home and don't have my guitar, so I can't verify how precise the pitch shift is. But from what I've seen I'd be surprised if it was off. Anyways, thank you. Cheers from France! 🍻 PS: It seems there are other free features within the app I might find useful. Thank you again! *Edit* I recently tuned my guitar in D standard (my favorite tuning) to be able to play Symphony X material, after a couple of months in C standard so I could play stuff from The Black Dahlia Murder. But then there are other bands that keep changing tunings depending on the songs, and the shift is quite drastic so I can't just use the same string gauge when going from one song to the other. With this app I can just keep my tuning, and even in the end record my guitar part, use the app again to pitch shift the performance and use it to post on youtube. That's great! I'm gonna use it a lot in the near future. Thank you again!
With Apple products you’ll likely end up tearing your hair out in frustration if you want to do something like this. I couldn’t even figure out how to load a track - forget about trying out the features.
Any app without the need to download mp3 from youtube? Something like.. paste the YT URL in app and it comes with options to play the video online with shifted pitch.
I use Amazing Slow Downer and it works for most iTunes songs but sometimes for some unknown reason it doesn’t detect a certain song in my playlist and forget about technical for it Roni Music sucks when it comes to support for AMAZING SLOW DOWNER
I've been using this app for a while now to make slowed/reverb songs and I love it. One thing I've been wondering though is can you add certain effects to only certain sections of a song with this app? For example I've got a song I've been working on and there is a stretch in the middle of it where I would like to add the "flanger" effect. I don't want the flanger throughout the entire song, just a specific portion of the song. Do you know if there's any way to do that?
Hmm, not that I'm aware of! You'd have a lot more control over that using a DAW, there are good free ones to look into like Cakewalk or Reaper that will work well for more detailed audio editing!
@@jt86tn I don't have anything to recommend that I use myself at the moment though you could look up n-track and see if that does what you need! I believe it's an Android based DAW

You would need to download the songs to be able to use this unfortunately - you can try amazing slow downer for direct Spotify integration. The chrome plugin does work on videos in browser!
Can anyone attest to how well the iOS app works? What I want to do if take instrumentals from songs and lower/raise to keys to make covers. I can sing, but don’t know how to play instruments which is why I want this program.

This could be handy.
So many youtube guitar tutorials are half a tone out of pitch, its impossible to play along with them.

@@stalj okay thank you!
Any nice ones in BPM not %? Stuck on Android at the moment.
So how do you loop videos on UA-cam? I know how to speed up/slow down. I've looked, I don't see this feature.
Are you using the music speed changer app or extension? You just need to click A and B to set the start/end loop points.
But you can't use the app on android to change the pitch on UA-cam?
Not when on UA-cam directly as far as I know - you have to download it as an mp3 file first!
nice work
I am trying to use the app to open downloaded Spotify tunes. I am not seeing any of these when I open the app. Will the app find them? How?
Tap the top left drop-down arrow to access the library - all your phone audio tracks will appear there!

It's a shame you need to be on a computer to slow down youtube though.
You can do it natively, click the settings gear icon and then playback speed! It's a coarser adjustment, though.
@@stalj Yes, I figured it out! Just screen record the youtube video and then use the recorded video in music speed control app. No problem. 😎🙂
