La barcelonaise ‪@MarinaHerlop‬ hypnotise le public du festival ‪@esnsnl‬ Eurosonic Noorderslag grâce à l’étrange beauté de Pripyat, son troisième album.
Issue d’une formation classique, Marina Herlop a effectué une mue fascinante au fil des années. Du piano qui habitait tout entier Nanook (un premier album paru en 2016), la musicienne s’est en effet délestée de tout académisme pour plonger dans les méandres de la musique électronique. Si l’effort Babasha amorçait dès 2018 cette transformation grâce à son hybridité, c’est en 2022, au travers de l’album Pripyat que la transformation devient totale.
Pripyat, publié chez le label berlinois PAN, s’inspire de la tradition musicale de l’Inde du Sud pour créer des morceaux kaléidoscopiques, à la fois doux et vertigineux. Une ambiance cristalline à découvrir en live au festival Eurosonic.
Concert filmé le 18 janvier 2023 au Stadsschouwburg de Groningen dans le cadre du festival Eurosonic, au Pays-Bas.

I'm a trained vocalist. If you know what to listen for, you can hear the influence of various vocal traditions. This is brilliant and I wouldn't have them change a thing.
