First of all get yourself a Jeweler's loop. Second get yourself some knowledge. Watching UA-cam videos to learn about jewelry and having to school the person supposed to be teaching me is not cool
Wow I didn't realize you were only allowed to make videos if you were an expert. Also what gave you the idea that this was an informational video anyway? Sally is a delight to watch, and a lovely person.
What are you talking about? She knew what she was talking about. You expect her to know about everything she just got out of the bag? Talk about a negative attitude!
The cute hat-shaped piece with the two clips is a clothing clip - that’s why it has plastic clips on the back like braces/suspenders, to avoid tearing at the fabric. It can be used to pull together fabric on a garment so it’s more cinched at the waist, or to hold a cardigan or shawl closed, or anything else in that vein.
It a sweater clip from when girls wore matching sweater sets in the 50's. They wore the sweater loose over their shoulders and held in place with the sweater clip.
Hi Sally, your color-changing stone may be Alexandrite, it looks different in different types of lighting. Try it outdoors, under fluorescent, and then incandescent light and see if it changes. I love the carnelian earrings, they are gorgeous.
Neat stuff! I love bags like that. The silver ton box with the Blessed Mother was originally for a rosary. The first spoon marked Italy originally is a souvenir spoon. I have the exact bowling pin and the deco looking dress clip! Lisner and Danecraft both good jewelry labels. New subscriber! Enjoyed watching you opening this package of treasures!
Where did you buy the vintage bag and how much was it? Just curious Beautiful pieces!!!!! . I think the old mouth piece was probably an old Deco cigarette holder.. The green makeup container was for rouge, the other side held a powder puff . Loved watching this!
Hi, Sally. JS inside a shield is Joseph Smith & Sons (Birmingham Ltd.) Chester 1957 hallmark. I believe the blue stones in the "silver" earring are aquamarine. The yellow stone in the sun pendant is a citrine.
Hi, Chester is the city arms symbol (three hanging bits like a traditional pawnbrokers symbol) and the Anchor which is on this piece is for Birmingham 😺😺😺
Hi Sally! Alexandrite changes color from blue to purple when exposed to light. Interesting bag. Some of those pieces would qualify for antique status. Love the blue, rectangular pendant and the swallow locket! 💖🌹💍💎
Hi Thank you for watching. The sun was sold a few weeks ago during my auction, i’ll be having another auction tomorrow on princess casserole channel 6:30 pm eastern ☺️
Animals are a lot like kids ,remember when they would always start up when you got on the phone ?mine did .I through a wooden clog at oone of my sons once and put a dent in a knotty pine cabinet and he still reminds me of it .He will be 59 this year
The 'b' is the year it was assayed and the anchor is for Birmingham assay office. Depending on the type of 'b' and the shape of the cartouche it's in you can tell what year it was assayed at the Birmingham office. Some very nice pieces at the end.
Hiyee I think you rock is iron pyrite or fools gold it was glittering it can be tumbled Andis very pretty when smooth maybe a paper weight is in your future 😌 OMG put the sunshine on that multi strand necklace oOoO so pretty
“GIRLS RELAX”. 😂😁. Chill gurl. Hehe. That medallion looks not as bad on video. Maybe metal wear will be minimal. The mourning brooch beautiful! Worth trying to repair. Interesting stuff so far! TFS ❤️
I loved the pendant the religious pendant with a crowns on mother Mary and Jesus head that was lovely and unusual I've never seen anything like that before I like the compact was a Victorian lady on it the glass heart was gorgeous and very rare I think and those were some of my favorite things. R M from Mass
I think the hat is a sweater clip or cape clip. How do you Clean your vintage jewelry?some of the brooches look like coat of arms. Were there not any matching earrings?
I have never seen so many weird things in a jewelry bag. A toy car, pencil sharpener, a rock, a spoon. Like "Hey this jewelry bag's not quite full grab some stuff out of the junk drawer and toss it in here."
The key looks like a door key. The spoon is a souvenier spoon. My mother had a set from Germany, a friend sent her a spoon for Christmas each year. Wish I knew where that set went to.
Silver bonnet w/gold ribbon might be used to gather together fabric at the back of blouse or dress, giving a “pleated” effect. But I have never seen one quite like that…
Girls relay '66 wow, that is old. :D You may want to test it could be silver or gold. Back then, our medals were! Your rock could be pyrite or gold flecked?
I looked it up there’s actually one on eBay for over $100 but it was in the 1920s back then they made them with some silver and gold guess they got cheep and 66
Alexandrite changes color from purple to shades of aqua. Your ring may be that gem. It is one color in natural light and then another in incandescent light.
I’m a little upset that you didn’t sound enlightened time showing us the marks on the back! “So far, so weird.” Haha. That was funny. Silly autocorrect!! I meant, I’m disappointed that you don’t show us the markings on the back of the pieces.

thank you Shelly 🧡
Where does it say she is teaching? Watch some you tube videos on manners. Having to tell you what your parents should have taught you is not cool.

Jewelers hate it when you don't buy from them, so be sure & have something fixed or sized if u want a good jeweler- l know from experience
I have a collection of Neo glass, I have two pieces that under a black light glow flourescent pink. One is a Murano vase and the other a heavy owl.
Pretty pieces of jewelry
Great pieces you picked up. I love all the miscellaneous in the bag. They must have thought the rock was special…
😂 ya real special
Hi Sally, thought this bag was really fun! 800 is an older Mark for Italian or German silver 800/1000 purity. Big hugs xxxxxx
I enjoyed your finds 😊
I especially liked when you were able to focus on the back of the piece for further clues to the whereabouts of the piece.

Hi Sally, the Bird penchant at 29:52 ….the B doesn‘t stand for Birmingham…ist is the date letter..determing the Age of the object
thank you 😊
Also love the locket with the small bird on
me tooo !
You got a lot of nice stuff 👍
That gorgeous sun pendant with the stamp you didn't know is from the designer Lorenzo. I own several Lorenzo pieces, very fine quality!
hey Sally, lol your dog sounds just like mine. Sounds like he is chomping at his food. Cute he made his off camera debut.
The lady on the compact has blush on one side, powder on the other. You could sell the wee car on line. Love the hat!
This was a fun distraction from my studying, thanks 😊
The stone on the ring that changes colour is Neodymium glass, also called Alexandrite. It's a beautiful ring, congratulations.
thank you ☺️

I love the Garage pin with the silverware❤
TS 3:30 large bonnet with grippers looks to me to be a waist cincher. Could be too large and uncomfortable however.
Make sure may be tanzanite. Look out that might be white gold yes Alexandria.
Hiyee I think you rock is iron pyrite or fools gold it was glittering it can be tumbled Andis very pretty when smooth maybe a paper weight is in your future 😌 OMG put the sunshine on that multi strand necklace oOoO so pretty

Hi Sally, the sun pendant marking means that it is gold plated sterling silver.
Miraculous medal 🥇 ❤🤩

This picture is a miraculous medal from "la rue du bac"in Paris ,(Sainte Catherine Labouré) ;look at it on wikipedia !
I think the ring with the stone that changes color ,the stone is called an Alexandrite, not sure of the spelling .
I think the hat is a sweater clip or cape clip.
How do you
Clean your vintage jewelry?some of the brooches look like coat of arms.
Were there not any matching earrings?
Do you have a Gem Tester? Do you test metal? Would be nice to see.
I do have one and a acid tester…. somewhere 😣😖😟
I have never seen so many weird things in a jewelry bag. A toy car, pencil sharpener, a rock, a spoon. Like "Hey this jewelry bag's not quite full grab some stuff out of the junk drawer and toss it in here."
that’s what it looks like , not my favorite that’s for sure !
I think you can add the stone to the Crown Trafari & it will look great!
I found a Lady Hamilton watch with gold and diamonds for 50 cents at a yard sale.
Star of David nails they put in the cross
Though this may not have been one of your better jewelry containers it still had some very nice things in .
Yeah a unbagging.👍❤Its a pocket knife 🤗what kind of stone would change colors like that? I never heard of that before.
👋🏻 thank you. i’ve heard of it but thought it was a natural stone .
Hello 👋 Helen, how are you doing?
That black earring might have the size stone you need for the broach. 🌸
Yes ! lol it hit me when i was as cleaning up . thank ya
What is the best way to store these pieces?
I have the plastic containers from craft store . thanks for watching Evelyn ! ☺️

Hello Sally, that religious silver box was supposed to house a rosary. It was the silver box with blue velvet lining.
The key looks like a door key. The spoon is a souvenier spoon. My mother had a set from Germany, a friend sent her a spoon for Christmas each year. Wish I knew where that set went to.
Lilac-blue Stone ring is amethyst. It changes color in different light. We have beautiful amethyst glass art here in Finland. And jewellerys.
It is also called alexandrite, somewhere, I have seen.
And neodyme glass.
Sally. Im interested in the large sterling heart pendent. Can I buy it from you? It would go well with what> have now. I hope you still have it. Judy
The blue pined is how much
Holds a jacket or shawl together . Thing with clips does
The hat is a sweater clip.
Sally the rhinestone flowers in vase broach looked like it had something written on the bottom of the vase a name or maybe the word sterling
I looked again and didn’t see anything readable but it could be 925 . thank you for watching 😊
The rock looks like an Indian arrowhead.
Silver bonnet w/gold ribbon might be used to gather together fabric at the back of blouse or dress, giving a “pleated” effect. But I have never seen one quite like that…
very weird , i’m still researching 😊
the B on locket means 1926, The anchor means Birmingham. Kind regards

Hello👋dear, how are you doing?
I think the religious box is for Rosary beads
Hi Sally 💕💖💕💖
hi Jenny 🤩
How much for that black pic
You’re right. Circle w/green rhinestones is old-style cufflink
Alexandrite changes color from purple to shades of aqua. Your ring may be that gem. It is one color in natural light and then another in incandescent light.
Curiosity incorporated channel may buy that car?
I missed the cost of the bag?
I believe it was $40
I’m a little upset that you didn’t sound enlightened time showing us the marks on the back!
“So far, so weird.” Haha. That was funny.
Silly autocorrect!! I meant, I’m disappointed that you don’t show us the markings on the back of the pieces.
Hiya FYI. The The stone in the ring that changes color is called alexandrite “glass” in your case.
