tip: if there's someone who is maybe being bullied or isn't liked by others, try to befriend them and if possible share God's Word with them. this happened to me and after years of waiting, the Lord gave me a friend in school :)

Yes thank you I started home schooling my two autistic children! It hasn’t been easy but they have shown so much improvement! God please continue to give me the strength to keep going because now that I’m home schooling them my hours to work are limited. Father God please help me to continue to support my children it hasn’t been easy!
If it helps at all, I was homeschooled, I think it is an amazing thing to do if you can and I'm in a Christian college now. I'm praying for you sister in Christ 🙏

High school was a difficult time for me personally, but thankfully at my college I have made so many incredible Christian friends or friends who do not judge me for my beliefs. I needed to hear this in high school: “It’s better to be alone than around toxic people.” Ladies, that teenage phase is so hard. Do not waste it with friends who do not lift you up or encourage you; whether that be in your faith or goals you have. Those are not to mention some of those last years before you go out into the real world. Those middle or high school memories don’t shine as bright if you weren’t surrounded by uplifting friends. As previously mentioned, my college experience thankfully has been blessed in the area making Christian friends, but don’t take that as “it will be easy.” It might be for some people or for others it may not. However, don’t be discouraged. Go to those Bible studies at school, but if your school doesn’t have one, one of my friends started one. If you feel that the Lord is calling you to it, start one or some type of discipleship for Christ and those Christians on campus. Or go to that local church and get around people your own age if you can. And ofc pray for Christian friends and ask the Lord to highlight those people in your life, as Ashley shared in the video. Thank you Ash for sharing, so encouraging! A verse to lean onto: “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” - Proverbs 27:17 NLT. Have a great and blessed school year. I’ve been Christian for about a year now, and when my family and I found this faith, my mom pulled me and my sister out of public school to do homeschooling. It was honestly such a blessing, God enabled me to put Him as my number one priority, and I got out of that toxic environment. He gave us a church to go to, where we’ve made so many great friends our age, it’s honestly so amazing. Even though I’m not in public school anymore, I was intrigued by your video when it popped up on my recommended, so I watched it. After that, I check out your channel & bio and found out you’re in Nashville?! That’s so surprising, because, I am too! Hi :) I read your comment and it made me want to ask about the process behind transitioning from public school and whether it’s something that’s worked out for you? I have been discerning and praying about making the decision to leave public school and transition to independent studies/hybrid learning. I’ve been wanting to hear different perspectives especially as a Christian before I make any big decisions but it’s been pointed out to me by people that I might regret missing out on things I’ll look back on when I’m older and I’ve kind of established myself in the way of clubs and activities on campus. @@lk3274 Helloo (●’◡’●)ﾉ For me and my sister, it worked out great (alllll thanks to the Lord). First, my mom set up a meeting with the counselors of our grades (10th and 11th). We told them that we’ll be switching to homeschooling, so we need to be un-enrolled in our classes, which they did. We also needed to know the classes we’ll need to take, the credits we have left, and it was important to make clear that they wouldn’t be continuously marking us absent when we left (which would lead to truancy). Thankfully, that never happened. After it was clear what classes we’d take, my mom went to the website Monarch to purchase our curriculum, which is an online schooling program (you have to start a subscription too). We did that last year, but if you want real-life books for classes, you can order them on MasterBooks (which we’re doing this year) 👍 Then she enrolled us in Home Life Academy, which is basically an umbrella school that keeps track of your curriculum, grades, and attendance (all that you input yourself). It keeps a record so that if the state wants to look into you, you’re legal and everything. We live in Tennessee, and I don’t know how it is for other ppl, so it might be different for you/others. I’m not sure what grade you’re in, but for me, I was in public school all the way until mid-11th grade. I’m a senior now, and it’s been like a year to a year and a half of being homeschooled. I don’t miss anything except being with my friends and seeing my teachers. Fortunately, like I said before, God has provided a great church for us and there’s tons of kids there our age (that are also homeschooled), so loneliness has not been a concern. We hang out at least twice a week and it’s even better that they share our same faith. Plus, I still keep in touch with my friends from school, so that’s good, too. There’s nothing I feel like I’m really missing out on, but it might be a more-difficult transition/situation for someone who doesn’t have a community like mine. For me, I’d say go for it. Getting out of public school is one of the best things God’s done for me and my family. It’s given us so much freedom, time together, time to devote to God, and much more rest. Our health has gotten so much better, too. We’re not staying up late doing homework, and even if we do stay up late, we have the freedom of sleeping in. I used to get sick ALL the time in school because of my terrible sleep schedule (going to bed around 10-11 pm to wake up at 5 am). The sleep I was losing/not getting was breaking me, I was like a zombie at school all the time. I could go on and on about how better off my family and I are in this new lifestyle, but I won’t (it would be long lol) 😂 I 100% recommend it. The pros far outweigh the cons. In college, first day of one of the classes i randomly sat next to this girl that no one else was sitting next to. I thought she was kinda odd from the two seconds i had before i sat next to her. Now she's one of my best friends, we go to church together (i recently joined her church after being away from God for longer than i shouldve), shes helped me so much in my testimony of God and Jesus Christ. Don't ignore the promptings from the Holy Spirit! Sometimes its something as small as sitting next to someone, and that someone can make a huge difference in your life!!

I love your video Ashley. I loved your advice on how to share the gospel with people and a kind, loving and accepting way without judging people or forcing them to be a Christian. It’s good to have Christian friends as a Christian, it’s good to have friends who also love god. But it’s also ok to have a friend who’s an atheist or has a different religion. It does not make them toxic or a bad influence, as long as their good friends who help you, treat you well and respect that your a Christian and don’t pressure you to do bad things, then there not bad to be around. Your completely right about not forcing others to be a Christian. All we can do is share the love and good things about god but it’s still their choice on wether they want to be a Christian or not.

Ashley this video is so awesome!! I’m a teen gal who’s actually homeschooled, and I’m trying to improve my relationship with God and my other friendships. I am actually part of a homeschool group that believes in God! I am very grateful that I can easily surround myself with people that also believe in God like me, but it can still be challenging to make friends (and keep friends). In my group, there are people who already have their “friend groups” and sometimes it can be hard for me to fit in. I have made a few amazing friends from there, yet I still struggle with even those friendships because either something causes us to drift apart for a little while or I just don’t communicate with them enough (the main con with homeschooling is that we can’t see each other every day at a school lol). Hi I just found your video randomly and as a 17 years old Muslim who is an arab and live in north Africa it's actually helping a lot, I've been struggling before from bullying and getting called by "closed minded person" just because I have a dress code my family made it for me (a.k.a moddest clothing) and I'm not allowed to break it, and I never got treated well by these people until it effected my mental health and my grades and I failed a whole grade but it was worth it cz I got the opportunity to meet other people and I had a lot of friends some of them they cut me off and some of them still talking to me and still hanging out, and lately I've been stressed out a lil about this school year and when I finished watching the whole video I feel relaxed and I'll try my best to follow all the tips that you talked about it in your video 🖤

Now I learned so much and love my relationship with god I know he loves and cares for me AND HE LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU TOO! Yes thank you I started home schooling my two autistic children! It hasn’t been easy but they have shown so much improvement! God please continue to give me the strength to keep going because now that I’m home schooling them my hours to work are limited. High school was a difficult time for me personally, but thankfully at my college I have made so many incredible Christian friends or friends who do not judge me for my beliefs. I needed to hear this in high school: “It’s better to be alone than around toxic people.” Ladies, that teenage phase is so hard. Do not waste it with friends who do not lift you up or encourage you; whether that be in your faith or goals you have. Those are not to mention some of those last years before you go out into the real world. Those middle or high school memories don’t shine as bright if you weren’t surrounded by uplifting friends. As previously mentioned, my college experience thankfully has been blessed in the area making Christian friends, but don’t take that as “it will be easy.” It might be for some people or for others it may not. However, don’t be discouraged. Go to those Bible studies at school, but if your school doesn’t have one, one of my friends started one. If you feel that the Lord is calling you to it, start one or some type of discipleship for Christ and those Christians on campus. Or go to that local church and get around people your own age if you can. And ofc pray for Christian friends and ask the Lord to highlight those people in your life, as Ashley shared in the video. Thank you Ash for sharing, so encouraging! A verse to lean onto: “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” - Proverbs 27:17 NLT. Have a great and blessed school year. I’ve been Christian for about a year now, and when my family and I found this faith, my mom pulled me and my sister out of public school to do homeschooling. It was honestly such a blessing, God enabled me to put Him as my number one priority, and I got out of that toxic environment. He gave us a church to go to, where we’ve made so many great friends our age, it’s honestly so amazing.
Even though I’m not in public school anymore, I was intrigued by your video when it popped up on my recommended, so I watched it. After that, I check out your channel & bio and found out you’re in Nashville?! That’s so surprising, because, I am too! Hi :) I read your comment and it made me want to ask about the process behind transitioning from public school and whether it’s something that’s worked out for you? I have been discerning and praying about making the decision to leave public school and transition to independent studies/hybrid learning. I’ve been wanting to hear different perspectives especially as a Christian before I make any big decisions but it’s been pointed out to me by people that I might regret missing out on things I’ll look back on when I’m older and I’ve kind of established myself in the way of clubs and activities on campus. @@lk3274 Helloo (●’◡’●)ﾉ For me and my sister, it worked out great (alllll thanks to the Lord). First, my mom set up a meeting with the counselors of our grades (10th and 11th). We told them that we’ll be switching to homeschooling, so we need to be un-enrolled in our classes, which they did. We also needed to know the classes we’ll need to take, the credits we have left, and it was important to make clear that they wouldn’t be continuously marking us absent when we left (which would lead to truancy). Thankfully, that never happened.
After it was clear what classes we’d take, my mom went to the website Monarch to purchase our curriculum, which is an online schooling program (you have to start a subscription too). We did that last year, but if you want real-life books for classes, you can order them on MasterBooks (which we’re doing this year) 👍 Then she enrolled us in Home Life Academy, which is basically an umbrella school that keeps track of your curriculum, grades, and attendance (all that you input yourself). It keeps a record so that if the state wants to look into you, you’re legal and everything. We live in Tennessee, and I don’t know how it is for other ppl, so it might be different for you/others.
I’m not sure what grade you’re in, but for me, I was in public school all the way until mid-11th grade. I’m a senior now, and it’s been like a year to a year and a half of being homeschooled. I don’t miss anything except being with my friends and seeing my teachers. Fortunately, like I said before, God has provided a great church for us and there’s tons of kids there our age (that are also homeschooled), so loneliness has not been a concern. We hang out at least twice a week and it’s even better that they share our same faith. Plus, I still keep in touch with my friends from school, so that’s good, too. There’s nothing I feel like I’m really missing out on, but it might be a more-difficult transition/situation for someone who doesn’t have a community like mine.
For me, I’d say go for it. Getting out of public school is one of the best things God’s done for me and my family. It’s given us so much freedom, time together, time to devote to God, and much more rest. Our health has gotten so much better, too. We’re not staying up late doing homework, and even if we do stay up late, we have the freedom of sleeping in. I used to get sick ALL the time in school because of my terrible sleep schedule (going to bed around 10-11 pm to wake up at 5 am). The sleep I was losing/not getting was breaking me, I was like a zombie at school all the time.
I could go on and on about how better off my family and I are in this new lifestyle, but I won’t (it would be long lol) 😂 I 100% recommend it. The pros far outweigh the cons. Tell me if you need more details about the school/ process or anything. Hopefully, this helps!

In college, first day of one of the classes i randomly sat next to this girl that no one else was sitting next to. I thought she was kinda odd from the two seconds i had before i sat next to her. Now she's one of my best friends, we go to church together (i recently joined her church after being away from God for longer than i shouldve), shes helped me so much in my testimony of God and Jesus Christ. Don't ignore the promptings from the Holy Spirit! Sometimes its something as small as sitting next to someone, and that someone can make a huge difference in your life!!

I love your video Ashley. I loved your advice on how to share the gospel with people and a kind, loving and accepting way without judging people or forcing them to be a Christian. It’s good to have Christian friends as a Christian, it’s good to have friends who also love god. But it’s also ok to have a friend who’s an atheist or has a different religion. It does not make them toxic or a bad influence, as long as their good friends who help you, treat you well and respect that your a Christian and don’t pressure you to do bad things, then there not bad to be around. Your completely right about not forcing others to be a Christian. All we can do is share the love and good things about god but it’s still their choice on wether they want to be a Christian or not.

Ashley this video is so awesome!! I’m a teen gal who’s actually homeschooled, and I’m trying to improve my relationship with God and my other friendships. I am actually part of a homeschool group that believes in God! I am very grateful that I can easily surround myself with people that also believe in God like me, but it can still be challenging to make friends (and keep friends). In my group, there are people who already have their “friend groups” and sometimes it can be hard for me to fit in. I have made a few amazing friends from there, yet I still struggle with even those friendships because either something causes us to drift apart for a little while or I just don’t communicate with them enough (the main con with homeschooling is that we can’t see each other every day at a school lol). So your tips are really helpful, especially the one from the Bible about treating others as I would want them to treat me. Thanks so much Ashley ❤️ Pls make more videos for teens! Hi I just found your video randomly and as a 17 years old Muslim who is an arab and live in north Africa it's actually helping a lot, I've been struggling before from bullying and getting called by "closed minded person" just because I have a dress code my family made it for me (a.k.a moddest clothing) and I'm not allowed to break it, and I never got treated well by these people until it effected my mental health and my grades and I failed a whole grade but it was worth it cz I got the opportunity to meet other people and I had a lot of friends some of them they cut me off and some of them still talking to me and still hanging out, and lately I've been stressed out a lil about this school year and when I finished watching the whole video I feel relaxed and I'll try my best to follow all the tips that you talked about it in your video 🖤

And he answered my prayers and now I have an AMAZING Christian friend and this summer I have been thriving especially since it’s been 1 year since I’ve been saved!
