This is so great. Thank you. Questions. New to D&Bing so is the point of the local D&Bing to simply smooth the transitions between the lighting changes? So the local D&Bing isn't actually suppose to bring down the highlights and raise the shadows, I assume, since the global D&B actually ENHANCES the two?

I enjoy learning from your videos! I don’t think I’ve ever asked are you using a Mac or PC? If PC why over MAC or vice versa? What are the specs of your computer if you don’t mind me asking. I’m currently using a PC looking to either upgrade my PC or switching to MACBOOK Pro.....ok you tell us dell XPS
Thanks D! I use both Mac & PC. The main reason I switched to PC is because I teach high school photography and we use PC. I wanted to be able to use my laptop for work/photography.
You said something about hsl and camera calibration, I wanted to know more on what you mean by color/camera calibration

How do you decide what colors to change when color grading..Do you use the color wheel and look what color mode you re going in..analogue or complementary etc..or you re trying experimenting and by intuition going for what works for you..
It depends on an image to image basis John. Usually I work with the color wheel and if I'm not feeling it I'll go with my intuition.
@@EliInfante thank you for the reply..well what i really wanted to say is that everyone knows how to change colors using color balance curves selective colors i mean that s the easy part,the hard part is what to do , which colors to manipulate and how to get a more balanced photo, a photo that will have more impact on the viewer..by discussing what impact can have every color on the mood on the message of the photo on the feelings..cause it is art at the end ..I think those are the tutorials that really matter..Sure someone with minimum knowledge will benefit but there are tons of channels dedicated to learn the tools..I feel tutorials from real photographers must be dedicated to elevate the taste and the artistic fundamentals more..Would like to see those kind of videos from you..Thanx again for the efforts you re putting on a channel that many many new enthusiast photographers can benefit from..
