I agree. That 0-3 record is hurtful - however, Max is the best in that division minus Volk. I’d also add he’s better than Topuria. It just goes back to that 0-3 record unfortunately.

Let the champ take the rest of the year off and do Max Vs Topuria in December to fight volk next. Despite the overwhelming victory last time, Max is still the 2nd best featherweight on the planet. Lose a 4th time, nothing else to prove and retire into the sunset with his family, going down as one of the baddest mothers in UFC history 👍🏼

Agree about Max vs. Topuria, but if Max loses a 4th time he doesn't need to retire he can have fun fights with the likes of Gaethje, Oliveira, etc or wait out Volk at '45 who is 34 going into 35 and Max is 31, plus Volk might permanently move up, who knows. But Max can retire like u said if he isn't interested in what i just laid out.
@@unsub6737 Oliveira rematch for Holloway would be fun. Both guys are very different today than when they first fought. Both have had their ups and downs. If Max took a bit of time to allow his body to adapt to Lightweight instead of just jumping up I think he could put on some great fights up there although I'm not sure if he has the power for that weight class but his other attributes hold up I think.

I totally agree Military service ruined Korean Zombie. Not only Korean Zombie, but also alot of Korean sports men who is in his best prime time. After serving 2-3 years of military service, it is very hard to come back.

Tear jerker main event. 18 months prior in 273 Zombie tried to get the crowd to sing Zombie but no one did. To then now see the whole crowd sing zombie made zombie so happy. Then after getting KO'd and zombie woke up he had a big smile on his face... he went out on his shield like the f*cking Korean Zombie does... he went out on his own terms. Epic way to go. Absolute legend.

Max did an admirable gesture of not following up after the KD but it ended up worse with that brutal KO. Zombie really shouldn't have opted to play with fire after Max gave him a second chance when he was on the brink of being finished.

While I hated them booking this fight because of my love for both fighters, if Max was going to win, I’m glad Zombie got KO’d.
You can say what you want about Max but his style can take years off your career.
You’ve seen what he’s done to Katar and Ortega…sustained blows from fights like that take a toll as opposed to getting KO’d and fight’s over.
Definitely 2 of my most beloved fighters along with Charles.
