The key about seeing the truth about your identity is so powerful! When we sin it’s so easy to fall into a cycle of guilt and shame and feel like you can’t get back to God or maybe he’s tired of forgiving you. Remembering who we are and moving forward is such a gift!

@@derekober4928 even tday it is still a struggle 😓 I think God has answered my prayers of loosing the desire to smoke, the only thing that is left for me to do is just have discipline and just stop.. and I think that also apply to you friend, I just think that we are only lacking discipline.
@@ryantheprix If I could make a suggestion: Really ask the Hoy Spirit to reveal to you who you are to Him and what His destiny is for you in this world. Combine that with what the Lord is saying to you DAILY in His word as you determine to seek and pursue His Kingdom in your Life. You have no-doubt have supernatural gifts that the devil does not want you to use against the darkness (lies) in this world. Your victory is not found in quitting smoking more than it is in staying focused and pursuing who you are in Christ and His mission for you to help others (preach the Gospel and make disciples). Someone commented earlier that it is a process.... A righteous man falls 7 times... but keeps getting up (Prov 24:16). Don't let your failures or any guilt from the devil stop you from continuing to fight for what Yeshua paid with His blood to give you!
It wasn't cigarettes for me but the battle is still as fierce. You can overcome!
Knowing my identity in Christ, that I am in right standing with God, washed by the precious blood of Jesus, clothed with His righteousness. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. He truly is the Good Shepherd, leaving the 99 that not one sheep should be lost. Amen!

The key I found MOST liberating when it comes to overcoming sin and temptation is CONSISTENCY IN READING AND HEARING THE WORD OF GOD (Psalm 119:11)
Key no.4. His word.
Every time when temptations comes along my way, I remember His word in my heart. To remind me in order to overcome those lust of the flesh craving from our sinful nature. Be ready at all times and wear the full armour of God.

I break the chain of temptation that binds me in the name of Jesus ! Amen!
The introduction of the sermon when you said that "temptation is not an event but a process", that was the most powerful for me. Getting around things and ignoring the process of strengthening the flesh.
Key number 1 of John 8:32, that if there is bondage, there is a truth that we are yet to know.

Brother Hernandez everyone must prepare their hearts and minds for a great judgment is coming to the earth! God is about to move his powerful hand on this earth! Please ensure that your heart and mind are cleaned. No hated towards anyone, no lying, no unforgiving, no envy, no jealousy everything must be cleaned in your heart and mind. The world governments will be judged, churches will be judged and us as individuals! Prepare yourselves!
Confession is the first and most important part of ridding yourself of sin. Humility. and of course the end result. God's forgiveness!
Keys 2 and 6 go hand in hand. Seeking God's presence for strength and devoting time for worship have helped me to resist sudden urges in the moment to fall back into sinful habits. It doesn't have to be for a long time, sometimes just a brief moment of stillness and praise to the Lord is enough
What really helps me to keep going is reading that it's the enemy that condemns me with guilt and shame, but it's God that convicts.. and conviction can lead to repentance and change because God gave me power and authority to overcome with the power of the Holy Spirit inside me.. so I submit by choosing God, and resisting the enemy. It gets easier but it's also harder because it takes more effort to go to God and pray sometimes and spend that time than to just commit sin that is quick but leads to death.
Seek the presence of God, if you are FULL OF THE HOLY GHOST, sin will not be enter in your life, because you know God will not please about it. The Presence of God align you in His insight and thoughts. Study and seek the presence of God day and night. Amen...thank u pastor David, may the Lord prosper His ministry more.
Reading & Studying His Words and Worship Him are very important keys for me to have strong relationship with God thus, overcome sin and temptation.. 🙏🙏
Do not leave room for planning future sins..cut it off forever..this is key. Living in sin is a pattern, even if it's every other week. If you plan to sin , and you've done it before you're living in sin. Great word David.

I am so impressed with the teachings of David. I lived much of life in deep sin and a slave to the flesh.
I knew of Christ and had experiences with him prior yet did it anyways just to appease the flesh. And then came sin and addictions. And a tangled web of lies and sin. So I believed that much of the depth of these powerful and so relevant teachings could only be known by those that had lived as I have. I can tell you from my past experiences that my spirit sings hearing these teaching on how spot on the are.

It is frustrating when we keep identifying and reminding of our sins. But your teaching helped me to overcome this frustration. We identify who we are in Christ who has already forgiven us and set us free indeed. We just have to repent our sins, agree with the Lord and break off by the blood of Jesus. We need to break off our sin habits.

Thank you for this. I have a haircut fetish problem, where if I see someone with short hair or if I have to go and cut my own hair, it sexually arouses me. I try to fight it and am really struggling, but I have begun to say that I take every thought captive and place it on the cross and that I crucify my flesh. Its a daily struggle and I need to avoid those kind of images on the internet.
