I've had the 44 mag version for 10 months, and I love it. Every time I bring it to the range, a lot of people ask about it. I did put silicone in the butt stock to make the gun more balanced. That also helped with the recoil.
Had one in 44. After firing about 80 rounds the rear sight bracket got loose. When I tried to tighten it I stripped the head of one screw which made me not want to mess with the others. Great gun...great looks...great shooter..but be ready to have to do something to secure up the rear sight bracket eventually
Ughhhh blue locktite lol anybody who knows anything abt guns takes their gun apart upon pirchsde new or used and loctite every screw and or bolt that needs be 😊
The mechanical sound of the lever seems louder than my Marlin Trapper and Henry. A store two counties away has one and some Rossi 92. I will have to check them out very soon. Once I see some ammo prices for it, I just might sell my new 1895 Trapper wall hanger.
How about quality? We had a pack of Citadels here in Poland and every single one of them need to be disassamble and put loctite glue on every screw. If not, gun broke apart, screws broke in half or ripped off the gun with optic rail with no chances of repair. Is US wersions got same issues or Poland got trash which did not pass the QC in US? Nice looking gun but buying one means problems. Any problems appeared yet?
I got the 44. Only issue I've had with it is the rear sight disappeared after only a few shots through it. Slid right off and gone. I love it tho. Cool firearm.
Thanks for the review. I've been on the fence but. That gun is a top eject. the Henry you showed is side eject. Scope mount options are difficult for top eject and the eye relief and FOV will suffer performance.
The reason why I showed that other Rifle is because it’s my friend Pat, and he’s the one helping us with the build, and I wanted to show the hand garden, but stock that he had on his
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear they're both great no mistake. I have the Rossi 92 classic cowboy style and I love it. But I've been struggling to find an optic solution for it (my old eyes). I'm scanning UA-cam to see what others are doing. Can't wait to see your completed build! You're a natural with it, great follow-up shooting, you held that thing very still while cycling the action. Proof was in the tgt dings!
My understanding is Citadel purchased Rossi 92's then added a Midwest Industries rail, essentially making it an "upgraded" Triple Black. If I had one, which I don't, I'd add the RPP stock to complete the look (I think it looks better than the factory stock). MI makes a longer rail that would allow mounting a light in front of the sling stud.
I was looking at mad pig custom 45/70s but they’re really expensive. Would 357 or 44 mag be powerful enough for goats and boars? This thing looks pretty nice
Real question here.....Couldn't you just get a regular Rossi 92 and add the Ranger Precision parts? Since all you are keeping from the rifle is the barrel, magazine and receiver. So get a standard Rossi 92 with wood furniture and add the Ranger Precision parts. Would this work as well?
That thing is awesome I recently bought a very old school Marlin 336 I kind of wish I had seen this video before I bought it though it would have been nice to get a citadel just cuz they already come with the rails looks awesome can't wait for you to modify it
mine holds 10 for some reason, when i got it, it held 8 int he tube and 1 in the chamber, then one day all of a sudden, with the same ammo, it now holds 9 in the tube and 1 in the chamber....

I love my Levtac had a few issues with it but runs great. I will say that I wouldn’t invest in all the Ranger point stuff unless I had a Henry the quality of a henry Is 1000x better than the Levtac
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear but does it function better. I understand all the other upgrades, just wondering because it seems like a waste in buy this lever action when I can get a marlin or Henry. Especially since I'm replace all the same parts.
