WTRA first day of spring ride at Whipple Creek

WTRA members enjoyed a beautiful day at Whipple Creek Regional Park. WC is located in Ridgefield, WA. The park has a split parking area. cars are supposed to park up front and truck-trailer rigs in the back section. it can be crowded on weekends. Please think about the tight fit when parking so another rig can fit behind you or beside you. There is a portapotty and a built-in mounting block. There is much history with WC. I used to ride my gelding there all the time! My dog and i still go out for walks there and we love watching the horses go by!

You must have gotten there early. By noon, it is mostly filled with cars. I never go on a weekend because it is so busy. When I ride the seasonal trails, I prune & lop overhanging vegetation to help keep the trails open for riding. If everyone carried pruners & small loppers, they could really help, too! We were there on a Tuesday. I agree, I avoid WC on weekends and carrying pruners is a great idea. I often do that when I'm riding alone or with just one other person. Thank you for helping keep the trails clear.
