I would like to add a comment regarding your wife, Pete. She and the other lady kept such a beautiful femininity in their attire. The shifts were beautiful and shouted--I may be helping my husband but I am a lady thru and thru. It was just beautiful.
The greenhouse and the beds...the whole thing says Pete B did it!!!
Thank you all for a delightful and enlightening series. Jesus bless.

In our subtropical warm to HOT climate, we will forgo the plastic covering and instead use a white, nylon sunscreen material which also breaths while magnifying ambient light without focusing it and causing the plants to burn. The material, guaranteed for 10-20 years is tough and...Iguano-proof.
With minor adaptation we can also groe plants vertically and/or hang them from the roof/ ceiling to increase production.

Well done, looks great! You may want to consider adding two 3 foot square exhaust fans (one above each door) in order to increase the ventilation rate during those hot summer months. I had an overheating problem in my 30’ x 60’ greenhouses and had to add overhead misters , exhaust fans and a white shade screen fabric on the roof in order to solve the problem in Cedar Grove Tennessee.

    • @petebeasttexashomesteading

Well color me impressed! A greenhouse is in our future as well, and I would have to agree the Grower's Solution kits look to be the best combination of value and quality! Couple quick questions - I assume there is room in the channel for 2 wiggle wires? Where the top and side panels meet? And second - how difficult do you think it would be to add gutters on the upper boards to collect rain water? Just a thought... Very well done - thanks for sharing!

Al on Lumnah Acres built a similar green house on his channel. He put some kind of attachment to the handle of the roll up handle that he raises and lower the sides using his drill. He does it himself and doesn't need to have another person help raise and lower the sides.

It really looks good, the only place I worry about is those corners where the boards are and they stick out. Where you were talking about not to put the wiggle wire to tight or it could tear it. Looks like that should have been flush, like the board would be even then fastened with a L bracket like the corners down at the feet. Just my 2 cents.

    • @petebeasttexashomesteading

It looks great & I wish I had one. Seems like there 9:19 should be wiggle wire on the inside of that door frame. I may do dual doors with three long rows of raised-beds instead. My small box-store greenhouse gets over 126 degrees b/c it just doesn't have the ventilation.

Great job in this series Pete I have always wanted to know what goes into building a greenhouse and the benefits of having one. You should be able to grow tomatoes in the winter know right? I see one of my questions was asked and answered already and that was about a second wiggle wire in the same channel holding the bulk of the plastic along with the end sections so well done there. Have you thought about irrigation, would be fairly simple to run PVC pipe overhead with multiple heads for watering, just a suggestion. Good luck this winter and looking forward to seeing the progress.
