Well done . That is a good depiction of how things go setting up and coming down. I appreciate your detail. Next. Show them setups with branches. I feel you guys that we watch on you tube will cover the good , not so good and the difficult. Be well hunt hard. Thanks
Good video, very informative.I'll stick to my summit climber I can be up my stand in 5 mins, very few trees I can't climb in hardwoods of Pennsylvania.I hunt from the ground if I can't get up a tree.
The tip about raising your linemen belt before hanging the stand, keeping the linemen belt above the stand so you never have to detach from the tree is perfect. Safest way to do it and I've been surprised to see so many how to videos on youtube that actually detach before steeping into the stand. Well made video here
I like using the strap from the stand to tie down the sticks. I also put my saddle in between the sticks and the stand. I wrap the strap around the sticks through the stand, come back across the sticks, through the stand and then hook the loop to one of the sticks and tighten everything down.
I run 5 sticks on my stand usually only use 4 and to get good at setting up it takes practice. Love watching these videos always good to see how other guys are setting
Definitely going to use your method for hanging my beast stand, I’ve never thought about leaving the platform up while tightening the cam buckle. Thanks 👍🏻
I’m fairly new to the “mobile” stuff. Did a fair amount of it this season on private & public. With a stand & sticks and a climber. So it’s cool to see how others do it from start to finish. I’m pretty confident and efficient with the climber but haven’t got the rhythm/system down yet with the stand & sticks. It definitely takes practice and organization. Cool video Josh. 👍🏻
I really really want to start hunting like this but I just can’t handle the sweating and being soaking wet from the stress and physicality of hanging a treestand like that. Does anyone else have that problem?
@@beforetheecho oh I know that but still the walk in, the climb up, hanging off the side of a tree 15-20’- mix all that together and I’m sweating bad. I’ve practiced my saddle and climber in my backyard but can’t stop the frustrating pouring sweat so I’ve never hunted with either. Feel like I’d have to get in the woods 4 hours before daylight and move at a snails pace just to keep from breaking a sweat doing all that. I know if I hunt the wind it’s not a problem but being soaking wet in the cold is the problem.
Because they’re not hanging it properly. If you use Josh’s method it bites perfectly fine . I do it the same way Josh does . Once in a blue moon I may have to do a subtle toe hook to get it to bite a little better . Like only lifting the platform a couple inches .
It's no different with a Wild Edge Stepp. U need to bring it up b4 u cam it down. Don't mess with the universe, u might get the horn. The universe strives & craves for balance.
Good video Josh . Really enjoy how you showed the simplicity of hanging the Beast Stand . A little downward pressure and caming it over by hand is really all that’s needed. There is a guy who has a channel called Michigan Grown Outdoors and whenever someone asks a question about the Beast Stand in various forums he jumps on the thread and starts slamming it saying it doesn’t bite to the tree . The reason why is because he’s putting all his weight on the seat and toe hooking it . I don’t know why but it really gets under my skin when I see him complaining about it . I don’t agree with Jason S either . He chamfers the brackets and stomps on the stand to set it . Not that that is a horrible method but posted a video recently with the LWCG 1.0 and discovered halfway through it that all you needed to do is push down and cam it by hand and it sets itself. He could have been doing the same thing all along with the Beast Stand and I bet the Beast Stand gets a better bite when doing it that way because the anther bracket is more aggressive. Last thing I will mention is dropping your stand or sticks out of the tree could be a little hazardous if you drop them on a rock that you might have not notice because it was buried under leaves . Took a chip out of one of my Beast Stick brackets when I was doing that .

Good stuff
All my sticks have three-step webbing aiders.
Ive done this hybrid system with a rock climbing harness all season. Very effective.

My brother is going to love you for posting this for me to watch. 🤣🤣
I think for next fall I’m going to try a hybrid method of stand and saddle seems like a flexible way of being in the tree. Great video Josh!
Thought you were running the Latitude sticks now?
I have both

Leave rosie alone shes fine 😂😂😂
How u get that cable aider to stick so far out from the tree like that
They are just shaped to come off the tree.
1:16 , lol, yes sir, learn to sew❤
Hey there is an antelope behind you 😳🤓

The equipment is crazy light stand weighs 7lbs sticks weigh 2lbs a piece.

Josh don’t move.. there’s an antelope behind you
Great video! How fast can you get set up in a hunting situation?
Oh maybe 5 minutes
Thanks for the video. Do you have a link for those bungee straps?
I could get one for you i got them from the hardware store they are just 10in bungees
@@beforetheecho I’ll try a few different stores. If I remember correctly I could never find that size. Always 12-15”. Love the content!

Why are so many people saying the beast stand doesn’t “bite” the tree good and the bottom stays loose?
