Clinton was just in Redmond, OR over the weekend and I was able to see him this trip. I agree with most everything that he teaches but his horses seem overflexed. It's a good thing that he can control all those body parts but watching him ride his horses in the small circles and slow stuff, he needs to let them out a bit.
That comes in handy in the cow work. I'm not saying it's necessary but I worked for a cutting horse trainer and we had to have them soft an flexible especially in the beginning when we first took them to cattle. Over time we would give them more leeway to carry their head however they want but its nice in the beginning to be able to shape them and teach them how to turn correct on a cow.
