Thanks for making this video. You just save me from buying a new camera! As well as replacing batteries endlessly. The main point is I am able to have constant security in the area that I need the most and reliably all the time.
Thank you for helping thise of us who are tired of replacing those expensive batteries. I happen to think that the Blink system is great for my needs and highly recommend it anyone looking to get a security camera and dont need 24/7 recording.
I connected a tiny power supply, 5v 2.5 watts, and it worked. Inside settings -> General it tells you the battery status. When you plug in the power supply and pull-down the screen to refresh that changes to “External Power Status” even if there is batteries installed. So it seems it works with and without batteries installed. We will see if the batteries drain down at all. Before using a power supply I was using nimh batteries and they lasted a year. But the camera doesn’t understand it had nimh batteries (1.2v) installed so it said the batteries needed replacing after 1 months. But I just ignored that.

Thank you man.
I've been spending a lot of money changing batteries over and over.
You are welcome.
My rechargeable batteries don't work in the cameras. Which ones do you use? 😊

Ah mazz in!!!😅
Not a fan of it…. I do not like the wires running across the front of the house. The wire should be hidden.
A pair of scissors and it's over for that exposed cord...
Turned this off as soon as you claimed the Blink camera is a good camera.
