Truthful Review of Our Disney Fairytale Weddings 2022

- Hi my name is Stephanie, My Husbands name is Kyle. We just had our Disney Fairytale Wedding on March 16th 2022 at Disneys Polynesian. Here is my honest review of the day. We definitely had some bumps in the road with the planning process and ceremony, but the dessert party made it all worth it!! I hope you enjoy, and stay tuned for our Wedding Video! :)

I just came across this video and WOW. Your attitude is so so great because I would’ve FLIPPED OUT. So incredibly unprofessional by the entire Disney Wedding team. You both have incredibly supportive and loving families. It all seemed to be thrown together, which is not what you both deserved. Wishing you the best life together! ❤️
You. Are. A. Saint. And def have Disney princess energy. My fiancé and I just got engaged in Paris. And we’re thinking about a Disney world wedding because we live in Florida. But now. NO WAY. they should give you every cent back. That is utterly ridiculous. I’m so sorry. I hope you get another chance to have a perfect wedding maybe at your 5-10 year anniversary ❤️

Girl the way I would have asked for every last penny back!!! This is absurd. I was a bridesmaid in a DFTW in 2018 and this is the exact opposite experience we had. Now my fiancé and I are starting to plan our own and I too am noticing really slow communication 🥴 not sure if we’ll go through with it.
Thanks so much for sharing this experience! We get married in April and almost had a Disney Fairy Tale wedding, but instead decided on a beach wedding and then spend time at Disney after. They must be incredibly short staffed or something because I know this is not how they are supposed to do things! Either way, this is completely unacceptable.
Oh my gosh I have dreamed of having a disney Fairytale wedding for years, and hearing all of these stories recently of all of the bad experiences I don't think I could have any patience or cool with all of the things that happened to you. I'd be balling my eyes out from the stress. Now I'm considering the idea of even trying to have my future wedding there. I'm so sorry that happened to you and that they didn't apologize or anything for this.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I have noticed lately that planners are either short staffed or you get the "B" team. Glad you still had a wonderful day. On a side note, where are the Disney Park Prints behind you from? they look super cool.
Oh my gosh, my experience was soooo similar with all the craziness. I'm still trying to get things cleared up almost 5 months later.
You should reach out to Carrie Hayward of the Disney fairy tail weddings podcast. She does tons of podcasts where brides and grooms can talk about their experiences which are for the most part pretty positive. I think it would be really helpful for her to secure a couple like you who had difficulty with the process to help other potential couples.
Oh wow! I’m sorry this happened to you. I’m planning mine right now so far my person he has stayed in contact with me. When I email him, within that day he emails back. Learning from your experience I’m definitely gonna be the annoying person getting question answered and stuff!! And make sure everything is good before the day!! Thanks for sharing your experience

Congratulations on your wedding. I would have been furious with the level of ineptness of the team, especially when they insisted you start 10 months out. Boy did they drop the ball. I'm sure it was sub par for what you probably paid for this.
I would have asked for some sort of refund oh my god! I’m so sorry that happened to you 😭 this has definitely turned me away from choosing disney as my wedding venue

Wow! You did not come off as complaining nor whining-Disney dropped the ball, repeatedly! I’m sorry you had this experience. Disney weddings are ridiculously expensive and what you described should not have happened. You have beyond awesome attitude, all things considered. Congratulations on your big day! They gave us some back for the missing photographer (I thing about $1,000) , since that’s how much time was missing from one being there. But they didn’t give us anything for them forgetting the bubbles (which we paid for) and they didn’t give us a discount for the song/music mess ups, or my sister fainting or anything. I’m glad they at least did something though. I honestly just wish they would have at least apologized😅

I’m having a ceremony in 75 days and I’m worried. Did they reimburse you for any of this mess? They certainly should have.
How did your day go? We are looking at having a Disneyland wedding, I'm hoping you had less issues! The team here is a lot smaller than WDW, it seems.

Final guest count isn't asked for usually until a month or 2 weeks before the wedding.
