- The reef tank (300 x 150 x 75 cm) setup by Martin from Deggingen was built with a lot of planning regarding the technical area / sump / LED. The aquascape is composed of a mixed stock. Inside there're SPS, LPS and other corals next to some tropical fish. The sump and base cabinet have been fantastically adapted into an extra room.

Two years later and I still think this is the most stunning private tank in the world. And the nicest reef I've seen on the internet. I find myself coming back every few months for inspiration.

@ The water change is probably automated and pretty simple because you would change it in that technology room and not the display tank!
My first thought was: Boring choice of corals.
If you have such a large tank, why not make use of it? There is nothing inside the tank that wouldn't fit inside a 300l one (except some fish like the doc). Such a waste.
Mind blowing would love a house and aquarium like this one day
The sump is so 'clean' and organized, no jumble of wires and hoses that you usually see. The entire setup is just beautiful and elegant.

Unreal! This would have to be one of the nicest in home display tanks on the planet. I really appreciate the simplicity of the filtration, utilising standard nutrient export methods just on a larger scale. Excellent!

My dream is to own a saltwater tank one day, but for now I enjoy fresh water aquascaping and planted tanks! This aquarium was breathtaking! All the colors of the corals and everything almost looked like the saltwater version of an aquascaped planted tank!😍 It was beautiful and whatever they're doing to have this tank looking like this... It looks👀like a little piece of a coral reef in someone’s house, its spectacular, a lot of thought 💭 and planning obviously went into this, just a great video, but all to short for a system like this. 👍🏴

The tank is beautifully integrated into the home. Excellent thought to separate the filtration room, so that it's out of site. I'm sure that helps with noise as well. Thank you

Yes :) Only this way you can watch it from sofa and kitchen - there is more space in front of the tv than it looks in the video and you can tilt it :) Where would you have placed it?

Hammer....ich war anfangs davon ausgegangen, dass das Becken auf nem gemauerten Sockel steht. Aber eine Alu-Rohr Konstruktion hätte ich nicht erwartet. Was ich auch richtig gut finde, ist die Technik im Keller. Ich bin ja eher so der Süßwasserfan, aber das hier ist schon echt ne Hausnummer 🤘

Ich will gar nicht drüber nachdenken was ich da grad in € gesehen hab 🤯
Das ist das Gute, wenn man alles selbst baut, gebrauchte Geräte, Korallen von privaten Züchtern und günstige Materialien aus der Industrie nimmt, wie die Alu-Profile und PE-Bigboxes, dann kostet es viel weniger als man denkt :)
Wenn man alleine das Wohnzimmer ansieht, hat der Mann keine Probleme mit dem Geld.
Loving your work, l like the short videos for inspiration, and the beauty of theses reefs. It would awesome if you could interview the owners about the setup and build. The construction is so different than what we have in the states. Great work and keep them coming!

Wish these videos were longer and you went more in depth about the filtration and aquarium layout etc. Video is too short for such an elaborate tank.

I can understand, but presenting you one video a week ist hard, also with 4 min (about 15 hours of work for me)

I agree. I saw what seemed to be a really small RO system compared to the size of the tank. I’d love to see the RO system.

you don't have to be rich if you use low cost material, second hand equipment and build everything yourself ;) inexpensive fishes and corals from friends and private breeders are helful too ;)

I bet it’s an awesome experience! Those Kessil lights give the reef a really nice color. I also use Kessil lights, but for plantes tanks. I like how there’s a lot of room for the fish to swim. :)
