It feels like a lot of celebrities try to overcompensate when talking about their past. They try to exaggerate their "struggle" in rising to the top to seem either more interesting or more of what they think is relatable to us common folk. It's actually quite entertaining because overall it seems like they're just trying to convince themselves deep down (like JLO). And I am SO glad you two read this book so I didn't have to! lol
