Seriously? Its a few logs on poles. Just because a half Indian made it you like it. LOL. What if he turned out to just be a white guy. Hahaha. Typical.
All that posturing and it’s just a few logs. It took him a decade to come up that??? If they want people to come back, how about put drug addicts in jail, keep people safe, and make the tweekers clean up their needles and trash.
weird report...no comment on what that wood structure represents? Maybe a longhouse from the 'little crossing over place' that is now basically a concrete-lined freeway?...SMH
How much safer? Seattle is the only major city in the US without a murder this year. What major city do you want us to be like? Or are you just constantly scared and living in fear?
@@chrisallen2848 wow. That is the biggest lie ever! And then to act like the city is safe? You will lie just to support your party. People can see the shootings on the news and see the crime with their own eyes. What’s the point of lying?? You think a comment will erase what we see with our own eyes?
hi, as an 18-year-old who visits downtown Seattle ever so often with a friend to explore. i feel generally safe? yeah there's questionable people but come on. don't aggravate possible aggressors, mind your own business, you're good... call me ignorant if there are stats to REALLY disprove my perception on the downtown area, I know homeless is still an issue but -_- holy i would not have ever gone again after my first visit if it was SOOOO "dangerous"..... people need to stop exaggerating.
and yes im aware of the random stabbings in ID i probably wouldnt go there then. but the waterfront? and pike place? and the connection between them? oh my gosh it's fine
@@zachi.itncoll so when other people don’t feel safe going there today that is fine because you feel you can decide how others should feel? But putting in some art is what the city should be doing vs making ID or other unsafe areas better? Do you do logic much? How about make the entire city safe and clean, then waste money on art? It’s call take care of the most important things first. Not the photo opp, white guilt stuff.
Wait until you see how they string nets across the rivers, catch almost every fish, and literally throw the pink salmon away while homeless people with no food live in the same area. Oh we can’t talk about that because it goes against the party narrative.

… yet. As soon as the novelty wears off, there will be. Unfortunately Seattle not only tolerates a critical mass of perpetual children, the culture that Seattle has devolved into collectively thinks it is cute, smart or funny to sit back and allow them to wantonly destroy nice things and laugh it off. A fitting analogy for Seattle is the 18 year old athlete or Hollywood celebrity that people apply the saying “they got too much, too soon, and were not prepared to handle it” to explain away them not having been raised in an environment that teaches respect for anyone or any thing, As soon as the novelty wears off, there will be blue tarps and all of the rest of the pathology that Seattle not only tolerates, they get their rocks off in wallowing in it.
Let me preface by saying that it is nice looking "new." But the elephant in the room is that the artist got away with tons of money for such simple design! Lol. The art must overlook the simplicity of the design, but focus instead, on the eloquence of explaining the significance and historical representation of what the structure it's meant to relay. Simply put, Seattle just bought some snake oil.
Beautiful, lovely initiative🎉

The carvings will be neat, but the overall presentation of the rest of it just looks like trash
Favoring one race for art pieces is pretty disgustingly discriminatory.
They were here before European colonists.

Wow what s waste of time n money. Not creative, go Seattle pppphhhfff
Hopefully they thought ahead and considered how the blue tarps will fit into the overall theme
There’s no blue tarps in that area, ZERO 0️⃣ so your lil post is irrelevant 🎉
