I would say the genestealers needed to be set up hidden, or transported in the chimera. The mole mortar should have only been able to fire 3 times out of six turns if doing speculative fire. Consolidation should be 2 inches always.
The best chances of getting the Genestealers safely into Close Combat are The Gate or Transportation. I think Alex used the later one in our Tournament for his GSC army. Concerning the Thudd Gun I'm not sure because I only played it once before. The rule says it ''may'' fire if it hasn't moved in the following turn so I assume not firing but aligning once more is an option. But I'm pretty sure we forgot doing some fear tests as the Patriarch has four arms and is much bigger than the regular Genestealers. The Squats however might know no fear after infusing themselves with sufficient amounts of beer. 😂 Will be quite interesting to see them on 1500p 😊😊😊
@@kharnifexMy Squats have reread the rules and don't find any fault with my interpretation of the rules. The said the only way of settling this dispute is through a drinking contest if you travel to Bavaria or I to Australia 😃
@@kharnifexI'm not sure if this weapon is meant to be fired. My Squats preferred to speculate and align 😂 Can' t wait to use the Rapier Laser Destroyer of my 2000p point list. It's a shame they're unpainted.
thudd gun's a sleeper unit hey. I've got one in my army I took to SF24, spec fire on a guard squad on a roof - they didn't move because it was the objective, and I killed 6 of them. Previous games, all it killed were 2 cultists and a grot, and that's over about 4 games, using normal fire. 2 thudd guns spec firing all game would be a serious pain in the ass and really force your opponent to consider their tactics. Normal fire = useless, spec fire = potentially game changing. Squats need all the help they can get, so excited to add another thudd to my collection.
Good game guys, great looking board.
Thanks a lot!
Great game guys. Interesting match up. My Squats need all the tactical help they can get, so thanks for this.

With the thudd gun I think you lose the first turn them it resolves the next turn,
Speculative fire I mean
