Hi from Australia. I collected so many of those upper deck and hunted Electric court all year. Thanks for the unexpected nostalgia. I now collect AFL. Good work with the 2 MJ cards and all those other ones that peope hunt!!
I used to have about 10 of those 89 fleet Jordan's. I used to buy those packs all the time and seemed like every pack had one in them. Even had a few where jordan was right in front. Loved this break.
Fun fact about one of the players in this video in relation to MJ and The Last Dance.... The Jazz actually had a trade in place to acquire Rony Seikaly from the Magic at the trade deadline in 1998, just a few months before they lost to the Bulls in an extemely close Finals series (the Last Dance for MJ). The Jazz said that the deal fell apart because Seikaly and his agent stopped communicating with them. The Magic GM seemed to corroborate that story and didn't like that he had to cancel the deal. Karl Malone said that he had communicated with Seikaly after the trade was announced and that Seikaly was excited to play for the Jazz and have a chance at a championship. He said he thought a "bad agent" was to blame for the trade falling apart. Seikaly's story is that the Jazz got cold feet because he had a minor injury at the time which was going to keep him out a few weeks, that story doesn't seem to add up however because why would the Jazz discuss a trade for an injured player if the injury concerned them? Whatever the case, this may have changed history. The Jazz lost the Finals series 4 games to 2. 3 of their losses were by 5 points or less (5, 4 and 1). Seikaly wasn't a star. But in 1997/1998 he was averaging 13 points and 7 rebounds a night. He would have been the 4th or 5th best player on that Jazz team, significantly upgrading their center position and their depth. That deal could have given the Jazz enough to get over the hump and beat MJ.
I essentially know nothing about collecting sports cards. The other day, someone I work with sold me six Jordan's for only 5 bucks. With a quick check online, I was amazed at the prices asked for these cards.
Cool to see the old cards from when I was young buck. Really fun to watch. I’m ready for these next two episodes! Sunday night TV has been pretty good this month.
Even though David Robinson was drafted in 1987 he was still enlisted in the navy until 1989. His first game that year was in November. Technically the David Robinson card you pulled was his Rookie card!
Fun little retro break. I noticed you didn't Bill Wennington, Luc Longley, or Charles Oakley in your Last Dance stack. The disrespect! Haha. Really looking forward to the next month of episodes though. Loved the first two last Sunday.
You should do some 1990-91 hoops to find the MJ number jersey variation card number 223 Sam Vincent, also the Menedez brothers Mark Jackson card is in there too.
Not a bad video you actually got some of my favorite players so that’s what’s up. Got me over here wanting to get back into the hobby. I love 90’s basketball
My friend just got seven books loaded with 90s stuff hooking me up with about 15 Jordan's for 100 dollars but it includes the power of the key Jordan sweet find
The Bill Wennington, Luc Longley, Horace Grant & Ron Harper should be in the Bulls stack too even though they're not in Bulls Uniforms... love it! keep it up bro!
Congrats on the MJs. I like seeing the older cards opened. It reminds me when the hobby wasn't made up of dollars and cents. Thanks, man. have a good one.
Rod White Exactly! Those were the times that even the most expensive pack (Topps Finest I think) costed less than $10. I used to save my lunch money to buy some packs. These days the cards are being sold at crazy rip off prices and are no longer for the kids to enjoy the design/colour of the cards, but for adults to feed on their gambling addiction of “pulling” a MJ or LeBron auto.
Oh man, that brings back memories... Nice MJ, with that centering you almost got the next card for the price of one! Those Upper Deck cards are pretty sweet!
That was an awesome opening, JD! Loved this very much, you should put the Ron Harpers and Luc Longley in the Bulls stack! I plan to watch every Sunday. Man, if that Kobe documentary is true, it will be brutal but as you said but I'd have to watch it. Thanks for the share, "Dig it"!
TBH I Never Saw An Episode Of Last Dance Yet But I Heard It’s Amazing And I Subscribed With Bell On Nice MJ’s And Next Rookie Hunt Giannas Antetokounmpo RC’s
I know Jordan was a beast but why are his cards getting so much hype now? I may have to pull my Jordan cards and list them on Ebay now. I have a bunch of magazines with him on the cover also.
Do you have any A.J Terrell or Andrew Thomas or Ceedee lamb or Tee Higgins cards or Jake Fromm or DeAndre swift or Joe Burrows for trade? And great video!
Misprint alert! OLAJUWON'S first name is spelled Hakeem with an "H" but your card says Akeem without it. I dont know much about cards, but is that a big deal?
I'm a collector from 1992, I lost like 90% of my collection because my mother put my books on the floor and a storm pass and the water make the ceiling start to leak, guess what, the cards with water I lost over 100 Jordan rc like Shaquille o'neal, webber, penny ,Garnett, kobe etc...
here in australia we have a shop called jd sports and when i searched it up i accidently found your video but really enjoyed it haha

I started collecting basketball around 1987 so I remember some of these cards well.
I essentially know nothing about collecting sports cards. The other day, someone I work with sold me six Jordan's for only 5 bucks. With a quick check online, I was amazed at the prices asked for these cards.
Just a purly nostalgic rip. Loved it.

As a Spurs fan, I'm digging the David Robinson cards. 👌
Nice stuff man the 90s cards wow.
Nice Jordan, Pippen, Shaq. Jordan fleer card will be much better if the centering is good 😂

That all star Jordan is a sharp card!
Congrats on the MJs. I like seeing the older cards opened. It reminds me when the hobby wasn't made up of dollars and cents. Thanks, man. have a good one.

1990 Gary Payton Rookie Cards are all gone.. look at ebay sold listings
I've had the Fleer Jordan rookie card since 1998, think I'm going to have it graded, get it ready for auction.
is that the reprint?
Kevin McHale is a hall of famer. You should have his card checked as well.
Do you think after a while there will be no common Jordan's anymore?
TBH I Never Saw An Episode Of Last Dance Yet But I Heard It’s Amazing And I Subscribed With Bell On Nice MJ’s And Next Rookie Hunt Giannas Antetokounmpo RC’s
I would take those Rony Seiklay and Billy Owens Cards if you wanted to sell them as a Syracuse Orange(men) fan.
Rack Packs are the longer "hanger packs"

Pippen popper....dont think I've ever heard that one...

Just Jordan. The value of his cards and anything retro Jordan related has exploded since the Last Dance premiered
I know Jordan was a beast but why are his cards getting so much hype now? I may have to pull my Jordan cards and list them on Ebay now. I have a bunch of magazines with him on the cover also.
I'll give you $5 for everything. free shipping. take it or leave it.
Is it were completely wrong Jordan is in that Upper Deck set in fact three different versions gold red silver
Threw Stockton in the poop pile like he doesn't hold the all time assist record which can never be broken. Bruh.
