I reviewed this a few months ago, written, and really enjoyed it. I used it for work, day to day and gaming for over a week without issue. From a QC standpoint the example I reviewed as spot on. The only thing I noted, as you did as well, was the dongle in the same place as the screen. It would be nice to have a separate place for it for storage when you have the screen on. It's definitely more gimmicks than features but it seems as long as it sounds good and types well, many people are looking for something to just stand out than do something useful. Most people don't change their layout IMHO, but they do like to show off a screen or joystick, otherwise the original wouldn't have sold as well as it did. Very thorough review as always! Once again, so glad you guys are back!

if they decided to go this bold with the joystick, they could at least make it more customizable than just volume and mouse. and more importantly make it Analog joystick

Yeah, I have had nothing but issues with Epomaker. It is not a reliable brand whatsoever. Probably why they have to pay for reviews.

@@lockheartmac I have the Feker 80 and so far it's been good. I did have the same concern as you when I bought the keyboard.

This is true with pretty much every Chinese 'Generic' brand. I don't get what people expect when they buy these ultra budget keyboards. Like if I want a crappy bar with good customer support I'll buy from the big brands but if want a good board at a rock bottom price I'll take a chance with royal kludge or epomaker or aula. Its not rocket science

@@strayiggytv Epomaker isn't supposed to be a "generic" brand. They position themselves as budget to midrange. When I think of "generic" cheapo keyboards, I'm thinking of the $30 junk from brands with names that came out of the copyright mill. Even some of those are better. TBQH, the two Yousuomaster GMK67 clones I picked up for $15 each earlier this year have been nothing but reliable for me, even if they lack screens and wireless capability. Once I got rid of the garbage Clonetemus and replaced them with Akko and Gateron switches, no problems whatsoever, unlike Epomaker, which has just been headache after headache for me. Nothing like charging your new keeb for the first time and seeing it immediately drop to 22% when you disconnect it...then have the replacement Amazon sends do the exact same thing.

@@strayiggytvI have been thinking about the hate Epomaker gets for a while, and I think the reason for it boils down to size. Epomaker seems a lot bigger than a lot of Chinese budget board brands, so there are going to be a lot of people online with issues. I'm not saying it's okay that Epomaker doesn't offer great customer support, but that might also just be a symptom of growing quicker than anticipated. Hopefully they can get their stuff together, though, because their boards are generally alright, and there are some cool designs that you can't get elsewhere at the same price.

There are not features, there are gimmicks.

It’s like the nub on Lenovo keyboard, if you use it it feels great, if you don’t use it it is useless. Gimmicks are features

1:48 what in the name of all that's holy is going on with that Caps Lock legend??
ETA: I just checked the Epomaker Tide75 I have in for review, and it also has a Caps Lock legend that looks like it lost a fight with a volcano. Epomaker definitely needs to stop having the dye-sub done during the last shift on a Friday...

Finally got my AULA F75 today from Temu! I'm still in shock how little it costed me as first time buyer (24.2€) And honestly my first impressions are wow! I didn't expect the keyboard to sound this good and honestly the Leobog Reapers are currently my fav switches (will be getting Akko's switch tester soon).
Only cons i guess would be knob and cable and that's more or less it from my limited time with it.
Anyway, I couldn't be happier and I might get some tactiles in future but I'm still debating which ones to get... 8.5/10 for me :)

Epomaker’s branding forever eludes me: they sound like a company whose products should be more likely to improve my skiing prowess - not my typing.

I mean, overall, it seems like a decent board at a good price...the gimmicks...well, that's all they really are, and I wonder if they could have improved a few of them without adding cost, or even just improved the joystick and left out the screen for the same price? It's like they are trying to cram too many little gimmicks into a single board for no real reason.

The main problem isn't even board quality, Epomaker's customer service has been TERRIBLE to work with. I don't need products, especially budget, to be perfect as long as I know the company behind the product will actually support provider support.

I'm a retro gaming enthusiast and I run a lot of ROMs, but this board... this ain't it. The lack of analog functionality and the useless light bar means I won't be buying this one.

I'm 100% against all proprietary peripheral software so I stay away from anything that doesn't have QMK/VIA support. Even if these gimmicks are kind of cool, it's just not worth the tradeoff's of having to use peripheral pooware.

The Mac keycaps really demonstrate the lack of care this company has. Based on this review, I would never purchase anything from Epomaker.
